I love a man in a formal kilt. It might take some getting used to though to see men in more casual style kilts. Now the manpris, maybe if they're going clam digging. I can't quite get used to men in those otherwise.

Manpris:

There was a brief time in about 1957 or 1958 when the Manpris were very popular among teenagers.   We called them "clamdiggers", and they were usually worn with long-sleeved boatneck t-shirts with two-inch wide horizontal red and white or blue and white stripes.

Quite spiffy!   This was around the time of white buck penny loafers with pink soles, and the buckleback chinos and the beginning of the button-down collar fashion, which is still a classic.

The cool guys had their chinos (Dockers for you young punks) "pegged" to about 14- or 15 inches.   And anything except white socks was just too square.

Eat your hearts out, you little whippersnappers!

I was ready to vote for kilts even BEFORE I saw this pic!

Manpris just seem so much more informal -- and less inviting  -- to me.

Here's a visual for you.  This is from the Blackstone (Massachusetts) Celtic Festival as reported in the Worcester Telegram.

He is 82 years old

But the oft-ogled octogenarian showed too much of his own history — along with the fact that he was sans underwear — when he turned his back on the crowd, lifted his kilt, flashed the audience and exposed his genitals in the process, attracting mixed reviews from spectators but a swift one from local police, who plan to charge him with open and gross lewdness.
