If you did not understand let me know I can provide more details. No idea why it worked but it did. You have to disconnect your cable mdem from the network (remove ethernet cable that goes to the cable company from the modem) reboot (powerdown and power up) the modem while it is disconnected. Power it down again and reconnect and power up. Then bring up your router (if you have one) and finally power up your PC.
Tried this again tonight and it worked...I'm in!
Don't ask me why it works but it does. I fought it and my tracert shows all the same IP addresses but like you I am back.

I was waiting for a page to load....waiting....waiting....finally I stopped it. Tried to refresh.....waiting.....waiting.....stopped it. Came back in 10 minutes and it loaded fine.....

just happened to me again too......but the wierd part is - it looks like what I was posting actually posted....
