| Can someone tell me how to convert a bmp file to a jpeg? Is there somewhere online I can convert it without having to download software?

If you are using windows xp when you open a bmp it should open with Widows Picture and Fax Viewer. Click on second icon from the right at the bottom closes this program and opens Paint. Select file, save as, and select jpeg as type. Done.
Far easier with any desent photo editor software but it works

Thanks for answering Shoreguy.
When I open the file, it opens it in Windows Photo Gallery. I have Vista so I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Can't help you with Vista. Is there an option to save as or open a program to edit image.

| AH HA - Acutally, I clicked on "Open" and one of the options was "paint". So I did a save as! BLESS YOU MY CHILD!
