Ok, I'm going to post my real name address telephone number, Visa account number and my DH identity... I'll give you 3 days to leave it posted, and then will ya delete for me? Oh and give me a call when you do, to remind me that I wanted it done. When I get a cabin number, I'll do the same. Whoops almost forgot my bank account numbers, and a nudie pic of me... nah forget the expose shot, it would make ya sic.

Is there something wrong with the quotes tonight???

I'm only getting a problem when I quote you. I'll quote Pete next.

If you notice a typo a few hours later, please don't fret, no one probably noticed anyway.  :big grin:

If a MAJOR ERROR is noticed in post after the 1 hour "self edit" time has expired, please PM an administrator and we will take care of the edit for you.

Thank you for your continued support and growth of CTT!

Quoting Amy. Still no problem. Hmmmmmmmm.

The reality is that most people don't even know the post was changed how many bother going back in threads to double check what has been posted just in case it was changed.

I think it is quite important to keep the historical context and a edit for typos time is fine and if people really wish they had said something different then it should be a new post at the head of the thread and if they realy want to change history get the original deleted.

(p.s. biggest edits have to be done because of these codes that show up in the posts out of nowhere.   can that be fixed?)

We don't know why those codes sometimes show up. You should be able to edit them out, but if not, the Admins can.

Was that a personal or MOD view?

WHY are there stickies on the MOST RECENT filter.

Ok on a board you want people looking for the first time to see the rules BUT the point of a RECENT filter is to just bring up the threads with recent posts.

By the time a few more boards get a sticky or two the recent threads will be on page two which is just daft.

People who use the recent filter will see the posts anyway and then they will drop down the pages thats what recent is all about.

The other thing to do on the roll calls(if not done yet) is to change all the post titles  to the desired format then it will be obvious to all but the thickest(cc) poster what the title should look like.

If we did that, I can almost guarantee that there'd be plenty of unhappy people complaining about how we changed the title of "their" thread and want it changed back! :shoot me:

And the reason we changed it was because someone compained about how hard it was to find a particular sailing.........and the Mods agreed. It really was difficult with so many differnet thread titles........some had ships name first, some had sail date first....etc. This way it will be the same and will be easier to find, I think.
