| How do people get hyperlinks to say CLICK HERE, instead of http://www.yadaydaydaydad.com, and it takes you to that specific website?

Well... evidently I can't put code in posts on CTT and have it APPEAR right, it just shows as code....
But yes, the stuff in the quotes is the actual link... and the text in the middle can say whatever the heck you want it to say.

I didn't know that either! I'll still probably never figure it out though.

I got Brangwens to work by leaving out the last four characters </a>. But, I can't figure out shoreguy's method.

Cool! I did it! I've never used the hyperlink tool from the toolbar before. Learn something new everyday. Thanks!

I've used the hyperlink tool on CC before, but never here.
Let's try it! CLICK HERE for my photos website - some really cool pictures under the "med cruise" album - the rest are mostly blank.
TESTING - I think this didn't work
OKAY SG - which button is the hyperlink tool?

It's the blue ball (earth?) with two chain links in front of it.

I don't seem to see it in my options - do you mean directly on the quote post or reply page? I see the options for "insert flash object" "insert windows media player object", etc, but I don't see a little blue ball with chains.
Is there a way to make my options more? Do I have a simplified screen, somehow? Or am I just being way too dense??

Okay - this really sucks. I use Firefox, and only have a few options. However, I just logged in in IE, and found a few more that I don't see in Firefox - the cut/copy/paste options just popped up (not that I need those), and so did the little hyperlink symbol, plus a spell-check symbol. Also, on the next line, some font options.
This SUCKS! I'd love to include hyperlinks, but I'm not about to start using IE as a normal browser. Anyone know how to fix this with my Firefox??
Anyway, here it is! CLICK HERE for my pictures - select Med Cruise for the good album.

| Not a clue Cathy. I've never used anything but IE. I think we do have some people around here who use Firefox.

I use Firefox also and don't have the hyperlink tool. I get the hyperlink tool at other sites but not here. I guess I will just have to use Brangwen's option.

Nope! Didn't work - guess I'll have to go into IE to put in cute little links!

Doesn't work for me here. It does work on other sites if you leave off the last four characters.

Now that is interesting!! I'm a 99% of the time firefox user... and I had no clue that there were extra "buttons" that didn't show up on here, I always thought it strange that there WASN'T a hyperlink button up there.... guess I know why now.

Ok... here's how to do this in firefox... both a STANDARD hyperlink and a hyperlink with alternate text.
There is no button at this time, and the same issue applies to Opera/Safari users..... evidently there's a spell check button that is missing in these browers also (who knows what else I'm missing? )
To just post a standard hyperlink in firefox:
"http://www.google.com" (remove the quotes, leave the brackets)
To post a hyperlink with alternate text (like "click here"):
