I gave my C&A number to the TA when we booked last cruise, then forgot all about it.Our friends travelling with us, had a # but did nothing with it.

We started getting all sorts of little perks, (discount coupons, private cocktail party, casino dollars, bags, postcards, etc etc) left on our bed each night. We were embarassed to tell our friends so kept quiet..... on our way one night to the C&A cocktail party they ran into us. OMG, they were ticked, and ranted that they had the same number of cruises and got nothing. They marched into the party anyways!!

So if you have a number, make sure your TA and online check in gets it. Some of the perks were good.. like Starbuck discounts.

The perks are ok thats for sure.  This next cruise will bring us to Diamond.  Is it worth it?  Depends on how often you cruise.  We do it because we love it.  The Crown and Anchor Society probably has created some loyalty with us, but it isn't the reason we go floating.

Regarding your friends?  I am a nice guy, but seriously, was it your responsibility to make sure they knew about the C&A perks?

Glad they did join in though.  I'm sure RCCL didn't mind since they probably have another customer in the future.

This is just my humble opinion, but I think that RCCL should have another level between the Diamond (10th cruise) and Diamond Plus (24th cruise).......I think that's way too far in between.

Something like 16 or over would be another level..........

There's a LOT of Diamond members, but I bet there's not a whole lot of Diamond Plus.

Have you signed up online for C&A? If you have you won't get the mailed coupons but the online ones. To get both you must make sure , if there are two in your household as members, that you call C&A and have one of the members set up to recieve regular mailings. This gives you the best of both. Never seem to be any coupons for the cruise I want though. Oh well.:D

Initially I had signed up online.  I then called when I booked the Freedom to make sure they had my number and everything and was told I should sign up there as well and they "took care of it" for me.  Oh well.

If you have signed up online you can go to the C&A section on RCL websirte and see the specila values that are for C&A members. If there is another person in your household who is also a C&A member you can call and have that preson signed up for regular paper mailings. I've been told the coupons are different than those online.

Check at the C&A online site and see if you're signed up there. If you're signed up online you will not get regular mail mailings but the online coupons. I did get a small booklet last june 4X6 inches and about 8 pages long but no coupons. I think if you want the reguilar paper mailings if you call the C&A desk they can change that for you.

TheWog where are you at in the soggy northeast?

I'll give that a try.  Thanks.

I'm in Nashua, NH.  Just a bit north of you.  I put my location in back in June with ALLLLL the rain we were having.

That's right, I almost forgot how rainy it was back then. Other than the rain in June and the excessive heat in July it was a lovely summer. Actually this was the best August I can remember in my 24 years in New England.

Let me know how it works out for you getting your mailings.

I loved Costa Maya too, though I'm sure it is more bult up now.  It was a beautiful, raw port when we were there 4 years ago. What's it like now? I agree about Cozumel. The only reason we got off is that the friends we were traveling with, the wife loves to shop. Well, I shopped for about an hour and then made my way with DH to the pier side bar where we had a blast, Senor Frogs.:D

Costa Maya was a pleasant surprise. The pier is quite long and there was a  little shuttle train to take you back and forth. The area is very clean and well maintained.  There is a large semi circle of shops, lots of jewelry stores, also bars and restaurants. In the center is a large round pool with a swim up bar. Lots of local merchandise for sale in various venues. Throughout the park are entertainment plazas with mariachi bands and dancers in colorful native costume. You'll love it!

I've never had a problem getting cruises credited.  I'd call again, and if they don't have the information, instead of faxing, I'd mail copies (with a nice, polite letter) of the information to:

Crown & Anchor Society,
P.O. Box 026053
Miami, FL 33102-6053

Jeff, Were 5 or more on RCI. I have been told that Celebrity cruises don't count to your C&A membership level. Once you get to Platinum you have recriprocating privledges with the captains' club but their cruises won't increase your C&A level. Therefore if you have 4 RCI and 4 Celebrity you would still be a gold.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but that was what I was told.

Nurse Daybreak is correct.  I missed the part about some of them being on Celebrity.  You must have 5 on Royal Caribbean to become Platinum.

Did your friend cruise in a JS or above. That gets you two cruise credits instead of one. Friends of ours had cruised RCI before us and then we went on our first RCI with them they booked inside cabins both times. We booked a JS. Our next cruise was in an E1 and theirs was a JS and now they are back in an inside and we will be in another JS. We will all become Platinum after this next cruise but they will have actually cruised RCI more than we will have. I bet we hit diamond before they do though as DH says JS or better or he won't go at all.
