The larger balcony is one the big things for me. It seems the more that I cruise, the more that I use the balcony to get away from the crowds to read, nap or just relax. I like having a large lounger to stretch out in. Won't be long and you will be cruising. Can't wait to hear about it.

Less than 2 months, Gordon!!  I only hope and pray we don't have any flight snafu's on the way over to Venice. Our connection in Frankfurt is only 2-hrs. And Frankfurt is a HUGE airport that takes forever to get around. Plus, we have to go thru Customs & Immigration & then get to our connecting flight.

We're staying in Venice the day we disembark the ship and overnighting there. It will be nice to have a day to walk around Venice before we fly home.

I can't wait to hear about it. Anymore with flying it is a roll of the dice. Good luck and lets hope the airplane gods smile down on you.

Ain't that the truth!!!!!!  With 2 connections (one at Kennedy and one in Germany), I al a little concerned about getting my luggage. I might have it shipped over. We did that once for a QE 2 cruise and it worked like a charm.  It's a little pricey, but well worth it if I get my luggage!!!  We don't typically eat in the "specialty" restaurants, so we can save a little money there!!!

I guess the one thing good about living her in Atlanta is our airport. When we were booked on the Brilliance for the Venice to Barcelona cruise, we had direct flights coming and going. Last night I booked the flight to San Diego for March and it is direct. I always worry about the luggage not getting moved over to the next plane. I think that I would ship the luggage too. Two layovers is a lot. Again good luck and have a great cruise. :smiley1:

When you fly from podunk you have to have multi layovers most of the time.  We will be flying thru both Chicago and Dublin on our way to London in November.  Fortunately, we have a couple of days afterwards for our luggage to find us in London.  Direct flights from here options are.  St Louis, KC, Chicago, Dallas, Memphis, Cincinati, Denver and Detroit.  That is it.

Podunk is where jc lives or where anyone lives that can't get a decent flight direct without going to a larger airport. ;)
