It sounds like  a great plan if you drink a lot of soft drinks.  But at $6 a day, you'd have to drink 3-4, I guess, to break even.  What makes it not worth it for me personally, is that I like a soft-drink in the morning with breakfast, instead of coffee. And none of the bars are open that early!!  :D

I drink a lot of diet soda at home but find I don't on a cruise. I might get one a day so it's not worth it for me to invest in a soda card.

I do not drink sodas. Water only so I go through quite a bit of bottled water. Thank goodness RCI has Dannon and not Evian. I cannot stand the test of Evian. Of course I also have a beer or four and some nice cocktails too!!!!!!!!

I wish I could go without soft drinks!  I guess I am addicted! :(  I am desperately trying to cut down to 2 a day...I'm drinking 3 a day now!

I love Pepsi, so I often take a 6-pack of Pepsi on board with me, since RCCL only serves Coke.

I used to take a 6-pk of Pepsi in my carry-ons. But now, with the TSA buggering that up, I won't be able to........:finger:
The problem for me is that in the mornings when I want a soft-drink, none of the bars are open and you can't even buy one onboard. :(

Guess I'll just have to remember to get a couple of cans from the bar in the evenings and put them in the room 'fridge.

When I took my own soda, I bought it after arriving at the port city. When that ran out, I'd do as you suggested and keep a couple overnight for the next day. On our last cruise, we had a pre-stocked fridge and our steward kept my preferred brand in there for my convenience.
