Rich told me I can get an Aft on Deck 9 or a hump cabin near the rest of our group for our May '09 cruise. There's only a difference of $10 in price.

I've always wanted an aft but it would be cool to be close to the group.

Seems like the prime opportunity to grab an aft for a good price.  I think I'd probably take that.  You can always party where everyone else is and then go back to your cabin for peace and quiet:big grin:.

I've been humped...or so I've been told!

Since who group has a lot of these cabins, I thought it best to be near everyone else. I also looked online at some pictures of some AFT cabins on Deck 9 - it's not like the back of other ships I have seen.  Lot's of metal and beams. I'll keep my aft on the Crown Princess in Nov.

BAMA - you can be my cabinmate for Nov! ;)

Bama - check out these pics. See what I mean? It's not a straight down shot looking into the water.

After 25 cruises on all classes of RCI ships, here are my rules:

Voyager (Mariner) Class and Freedom Class: Hump cabins (not aft) for convience and location. The aft cabins are not at all private as anyone above can look down on your balcony. Also, the ship structure is at about a 45 degree angle so it's a long way back to see the wake.

Radiance and Vision Class: Aft all the way. Corner aft if possible. Bigger balconies and it's almost a straight shot down to the water. JS 1100 on Radiance Class is about the perfect cabin. The only exceptions would be 9078, 9092 and 1056 on the hump as they have large balconies, too.

Yes, thanks everyone.

When I saw the pictures and noticed that it was a straight shot looking down into the wake, my answer became clear.
