Hello All;
Just back from a short 2 day Pacific Coastal on the Coral Princess. Although this was our fifth cruise on Princess, this was the first time since 2004 (been doing more NCL cruises since then).
Enjoyed the ship, some of the food was good (some wasn't the best). The only problem was the length of the cruise. For those of you who might have been lurking about the Canada Place cruise terminal on Monday, I was the one making the scene as security pried my fingers from the disembarkation portal. I believe I was screaming; "Just one more day. I just want to stay on one more day..."
If anyone has any questions, I'd be pleased to answer them.
P.

Glad to see another Princess cruiser here! I'm going on the Coral (Panama Canal cruise) in December this year.

| Have you sailed on Princess before? If so, how would you compare the Coral to those cruises? My only experiences with Princess have been on the Dawn and the Grand.

Hello Hystrybuf;
Yes. I was on four previous Princess cruises (between 2002 and 2004). Ocean Princess (it was being moved over to P & O), Star Princess, and the Diamond Princess twice. I don't recall much about the Ocean Princess (it was my first cruise), but the Coral is smaller than the Star and the Diamond. The dining rooms weren't as grand or as impressive as the larger ships but there were many places to find a comfortable chair in a nook or cranny. The adults only covered pool area was also well used since the North Pacific was pretty cool at this time of year.
All of the other Princess cruises were as part of firm retreats, so this was this was actually the first time we had booked on Princess ourselves and the first time I'd experienced Anytime Dining. Its not quite freestyle, but I still preferred it to traditional set dining times.
I wouldn't hesitate to book another cruise on Coral Princess.

| Thanks! We did the anytime dining on the Grand. I enjoyed it as a change of pace from traditional, set dining times. I also like the smaller to mid-sized ships so I may have to give the Coral a look.
