Was looking for some shorties - think Cpt's Circle here - but the only ones were on the west coast.  How messed up is that?

They need to unscrew themselves and get a couple boats on the right coast for CTNs and shorties FTLOG. :flamin:

I agree. If they would add at least a couple of shorter (3-5 day) sailings, I think they would have a lot of passengers interested. And more from the east coast is right!

I wonder if it's a matter of lack of resources, or if they're seriously underestimating the East Coast crowd?

It's probably a little of both.  Keep in mind that Princess' home office is in California, and I think that has a lot to do with their mindset.

I wouldn't call 18 ships a lack of resources...but that's just MO.

I just don't see the big deal about putting a boat in md and doing some shorties or ctns.  Hell they could also get some 5 day'rs to bermuda.

I know of one poster from a pretty "foolish" place that said she was gonna speed up the elite by taking a bunch of 1-2 day repos and ctns.  Nothing wrong with that but spread the wealth FTLOG...

This is exactly why these "frequent sailor clubs" need to abolish the rank by number of cruises taken and go by number of mile sailed.  The "fools" that love sea days would go to the top! :roflmao:

Now you know how us left coasters feel about ALL of the other lines except Princess and HAL as they are the only 2 lines based on the west coast...the ONLY shorter cruises offered from the Florida based lines are on Carnival and RCCL's old ass ships and maybe a repo Florida to Alaska cruise with a few short cruises along the way....In 09 RCCL will finally bring a newer ship west (Mariner) so maybe things are beginning to change but the bottom line is there are still FAR more 3-5 day sailing from the east coast than the west which  prolly has a lot to do with why Princess doesnt get more involved  with them over there.....
