My parents just got assigned a port midship balcony room on the Crown.  The balcony is half covered/half uncovered - I guess that is good - anyone know exactly how big that balcony is???

Dimensions are approx. 9x9 ft 11 inches.

Those Caribe balconies are the best of both worlds.

Good for you parents:big grin:

Thanks - they booked a BC guarantee and ended up with a BA upgrade so that is pretty good...

Thanks for your help!

I've got some pictures of our Caribe balcony from the Grand on Webshots:

It was an amazing balcony, it'd be hard to book anything less on a future Princess cruise!

We have six cabins in a row on the Caribe deck of the Crown Princess on our next cruise.  Does anybody know if the balcony partitions can be opened?  I am hoping to have one very large balcony.  I know this can be done on Carnival ships.

I can't really remember but... I had a Caribe balcony on the Grand, and I think the partitions opened very narrowly near the balcony door rather than the rail.
The first pic is the caribe balcony, and second the caribe aft.

I am chiming in late...but we had a Caribe balcony on the Grand and we LOVED it.  It was our first cruise and we were spoiled for life.

Thanks for the info.  I didn't want to assume they opened but figured they did.  Love the photo, thanks for posting.
