Well I need to eat my words..... my TA just gave me the quotes on the same cruise (Princess, RCCL, Celebrity). Same type of cabins, and same number of days....Princess was cheaper than Celebrity!!! I can't believe it.    RCCL came in almost $1,000. cheaper.

I think we're going to give Princess a try....

I've enjoyed both of my Princess cruises. It's different to some degree with every line, but I think you just might enjoy that!

The one thing different about Princess, depending on the category cabin you book, is that regular cabins, inside, outside and balcony have very little sitting areas.  Most of the cruise lines now come with some sort of love seat or small couch, but with Princess, you would have to go up to at least a mini suite for that.  Regular cabins will include a small chair, small round table and one desk chair.  Exceptions are the Pacific and Tahitian Princess which are smaller ships, but the cabins are more like other cruise lines with a small sitting area in the staterooms.

If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your cabin, it will not be a problem.  But this seems to be one of the largest disappointments some find when switching to Princess Cruises.

Yep, I see that. Our last cruise was in a Jr Suite on RCCL, and we really enjoyed the "living room". We are going to miss it this cruise. Guess we'll be using the balcony alot, leaving the door open, and thinking that it's our "living area". Hopefully the weather will be nice to do that. I think with 16 days, and 13 or 14 ports, we won't have much time in the love shack!

Princess Transfers in Rome 2007 is, and they pick you up outside the Customs Area at Fumicino Airport. ( I am assuming each terminal customs area)

Just got off phone from T A.... she says that it's 75 days for booking shore excursions.  Wouldn't one think that it would be far simpler to ensure that your web site and server are top notch and that the info is accurate?

Just seems good business, and save a ton of potential headaches, and needless calls...............

So in other words, you're going to have to wait a few weeks to book those excursions? Jump on them when they open up! I'll bet you aren't the only one waiting to grab a few good ones.

Pearl's been harassing them for me while  I was gone. One would think that you would put staff on the phones that knew all the answers..... at least it would deter pissing people off, and would lead to fewer complaints. OR is that just too simple??

what  load of crap 1-800-PRINCESS is!

I phoned again today.... Stephanie Johnson this time. She yawned so much, and was so quiet at one time, I asked if she was still awake...... are they for real, or some telephone answering service in Jophar India???????

this time was told that excursions are on line between 60-120 days, she then looked up cruise and said that they would be online when final payment is due which is Mar 24..................... ditz

they came online at 1735 tonight!

Not getting a touchy feely warm fuzzy feeling re Princess Cruise Line right now. Do you think I should write them and ask for some OB credit??????  hahahaahahaah

I used to deal with those overseas call centers. Interesting, but hard to understand at times when you got them in India or Scotland.

What I want to know is, did you get those excursions booked???
