Ahh – Now this is Norway.  3 pm we headed out of the inside passage to the Norwegian Sea. Fog horn screaming, temperature dropped 30+ degrees, wind howling, seas up to 7 feet. Everyone out of their shorts and bathing suits and into their coats and long pants.

The carpet is almost dry but I had to turn of the blowers. Major headache from the noise and I need my pre-dinner nap. I seem to be getting my sleep in 1-3 hour blocks. The Freestyle Daily had us at the glacier from 9-10:30. There are going to be some pissed off passengers as we arrived at 7:30 and departed at 8:45. Those that snoozed loosed. That goodness the butler woke me up at 8 am delivering our “bluenose” certificates for crossing the artic circle.

Sellie and 8888 are sleeping in the courtyard.  Time to join them with a little sleep. Bistro tonight at 8 pm. Nothing of interest on the main dining room menu.

Later

Yep kimdave, just tie her onto the front of a St Lawrence Seaway icebreaker. She'd fit right in.
Great pics of cloud formations.
Keep the log coming Jim, I'm enjoying.

Ah the joys of the fickle AC just after the summer solstice!

Still too warm?  How about a pic from winter that far north.

That will squelch the complaints of the heat.  (and raise cane about the bloody cold!)

Long days = broken sleep.  I've been living off catnaps since the early 80's.  Doc says it's not good for my health.  Oh well the good die young, right?

I've been following this thread but I still don't understand this story about the TAFH. Shoreguy and the TAFH have on the same cruise on 2 previous occasions but what is their relationship? Has shoreguy used her services in the past?

I wonder if someone could enlighten me please?

I'd say that should be a PM to SG.  Since we don't gossip on this thread.

I took the dog to the kennel this morning and gave them is vaccination records. They said sorry we can not take him. It seems I needed to get one of the vaccinations more then 2 weeks prior and it has only been 10 days.

So does anyone think a kennel you would put your dog in would have any space of the 4th holiday week. I made some calls from there and no luck. I even tried the vet to board him no luck.

This called for desperate measures. I can be a real A hole when I have to.  I had one more shot. The owner was in the lobby with four older ladies who were touring the kennel to find a place for their precious little dog. He was doing his best sales pitch.

I picked up the phone and pretended to call the vet back. This is shoreguy I need to bring Barney in to have him put to sleep. My jaw quivering hand over my eyes (fake tears would have been over the top). The ladies to the rescue - "your not going to make that man put his dog to sleep" Well Barney will be spending my vacation in the owners house and not stuck in the kennel. Sort of like an upsell.

Here I am, back in the Slammer.  And for what?  Took a hike, chased a rabbit, took a dip, rolled in the mud.  I’m a dog – it’s what I do!  For a while it sounded as though I was in for a one-way walk.  Took some serious whimpering and the old sad-eyes trick just to get the sentence reduced to solitary.  When Thatguy gets back there’ll be more than mud on his precious carpet, you can bet on it.

Barney, aren't you enjoying the suite life "thatguy" left you in????:big grin:

Suite?? There’s no room to swing a cat in here, though I’d try if I could get my paws on one.   The food is OK if you get there quickly, but none of those fillet steak leftovers like I get at home. There’s a bloodhound in the next cell, and at the side of me he looks happy.  And don’t get me started about the warders.........

Poor doggie...just think, you have a dry floor and no workmen coming in and out of your "suite"!

I was very clear that she was f ing pissing me off and enough was enough. My life is mine and stay the f out of it.

That I hope will put an end to it. I hate to have things get ot this point but enoungh was enough.

We ate at Le Bistro last night. The "Frankfurter" was more than disgusting .. it's the white something.
