Did y'all hear that Shoreguy is booked on the 19-day repo cruise from San Francisco to Santiago on the Sun that leaves on 11/4/2008??? I even heard that he already pre-booked the "Alligator Encounter" and "Swimming with Piranhas" shore excursions. Is anyone else gonna book onto this cruise and see if we can all survive 19 days of partying with the immortal SG?????
Wouldn't miss this one for the world...I just checked the shorex's...a new one has been added "Our friends, the boa constrictors - Up Close and Personal. " :sharks:
Don't forget the "Racing the Sharks" excursion.Last edited on Thu Jul 3rd, 2008 12:50 am by nhrich

OK
Ok I need to make sure I am up in a few hours as we sail by the glacier. A day at sea and I need it. It is so strange sitting here by the balcony door at almost 2 am and it almost full daylight. In fact it is starting to get even lighter. Makes it easy to stay on east coast time but hard to make breakfast onboard. Hard to believe it is just the second inning in the Rays Boston game and yes it is on TV.
One last picture this morning

I was thinking of someone else, but I suppose she'd be too recognizable.

You never know where you will find adventure on a cruise
My new rules of CV cabin selection.
Rule #1 – If you are on any cruise but a transatlantic always pick a starboard cabin since the deck 15 area only affords a port side views. The only way to see anything on the starboard side if you cabin is port is to run down to deck 13 and go outside with the huddled masses…LOL.
Rule #2 (it really should be #1) never book the villa closest to the hot tub. Why you ask. Well when the ship makes sharp turns in fjords the water in the hot tub likes to get out and flows downhill all the way to the closest balcony door.
My cabin selection resulted in returning from breakfast to a butler wringing his hands. Men with shop vacs and blowers busy working in my cabin. “Sir Jim you are not going to your cabin. The hot tub has flooded your cabin and they need to work on it.”
Everyone is gone now the carpet is still soaking wet. I have 3 blowers running. The noise level is deafening. I really can’t leave the cabin with the balcony door and the hallway doors open to move air thru the cabin. I guess I need to contact MACOP to see how to get something for FREE.
Forget it – I am blessed be in the courtyard for almost next to nothing extra. So what if I have to swim out of my cabin. I get to meet all sorts of different crew members. In two days I get to meet the carpenters as they are coming to remove the solid ceiling in the bathroom so the plumber can come back and run a new line to shower head in the ceiling. Better then a tour.
Oh by the way – inside passage today, glacier this morning, seas of glass, clear blue skies, and are you ready inside the artic circle and a high of 80 F.
Complaint of the day – made by a member here – “we can’t use or bloody aft balcony. The sun is beating in, no wind, and it is too hot”

Given the vernacular, I can guess who that is.
Here's hoping the carpets dry out soon! And here's to you for taking it so well when ship happens.

Becky T - you hit the nail on the head.
SG - 80 degrees inside the arctic circle you say? Are there any passengers demanding a refund? I can't wait to read their reviews - "we were misled - it was so hot in the artic circle - why didn't NCL warn us - my gin and tonic melted on our aft balcony whilst were were in the artic circle - when I was on (Freddie O, QM1, QE1, RCCI, X, Princess) they had air conditioners set up on our balconies to keep us all icy cold whilst we were on our aft balconies and our ice never EVER melted in our drinks."
And with that I shall now prepare for my July 4th BBQ festivities. SG and all other Mad Mariners - here's to a wonderful 4th of July no matter where you find yourselves tomorrow - be that in Norway, New Jersey, New York - GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Ciao,
WaWW

Has the sky looked strange in the past day or two? Word has it from the region that a very active noctilucent storm (activity of noctilucent clouds) has been taking place over northern Europe. Viewing would be best in twilight since this time of the year it never gets truly dark even at the minimums where you are!
This was taken in Ireland to give an idea what the heck these glowing clouds look like!
Story on front page of spaceweather.com -> http://spaceweather.com/

Hope all is well and try to acquire an extra trout to keep the stalkerwoman under control.
