SEATTLE, July 17 -- Holland America Line's newest ship, the Signature-class ms Eurodam, makes its North American debut sailing Canada and New England cruises in 2008 and also introducing Quebec City as the line's new homeport. The 2,104-guest vessel and the ms Maasdam together will offer a total of 21 cruises ranging from seven- to 14-days between May and October. The Eurodam will feature 10-day cruises between New York and Quebec City in the autumn following its launch in Europe in June. The elegant new ship will also offer a 14-day cruise from Quebec City to Ft. Lauderdale, calling at the new port of Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
"The Eurodam is an exciting addition to Holland America Line's Canada and New England cruises along with the new gateway of Quebec," said Richard D. Meadows, CTC, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs. "The Eurodam will feature new, innovative dining venues, including a new pan-Asian restaurant, and a new style of panoramic stateroom."

I was so excited about this because I've been dying to do this itinerary. So we booked Eurodam on 10/1/08 for the 14-day down the East Coast. It's a terrific itinerary stopping in Saguenay,Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Saint John, Bar Harbor, Boston, Newport, New York City and finally Ft. Lauderdale.
And not nearly as expensive as I would have thought! I'm psyched! Everybody come on board!

My 2008 is already spoken for. We are planning on doing a land vacation to Europe next summer and take in the Tour de France, and possibly to pick up my DW a new car in Stuttgart. Then the company I work for is taking us and about 500 of our customers for a week to Aruba in December 2008. At least we won't be inflicting another group on a cruise like we did last year. I was part of the group and after 2 days even I didn't want to be there! I don't have to use vacation for that, but DW does. So, I am booked up til 2009.

Well, alrighty then, jc!!! So don't come!! I'll definitely let you know plans for 2009. Of course by then we could be out of $$$.
And I hope to get back on Celebrity in 2009. I've had just about all the HAL I can take, but I still just love their itineraries so what's a girl to do???
