150,000 gross tons - more the have again the size of the Gem.  About 10,00 tons smaller the The Freedom of the Seas and 12,000 tons larger then the Voyager class ships.

I hope this is just fake ....

If it is, they are moving the Courtyard to the bow ...can you imagine the view and more from there!!! Would it be a 3 story Courtyard? I wonder...

I can only imagine the ride that high up in the bow

Clearly the ugliest renderings of a ship I have ever seen - Makes the POAM look like a beauty queen.

Have you guys given up on the F3 already? Do any of the new builds have names yet?

We have not yet begun to fight :big grin: No names but this video makes it look like the interary will be in outer space. There is no question I will book this if at all posible. The last thing I want is a port entensive cruise with this many passengers to try it out.

Jim you will have to cruise on the f3 ship so you can try out the ice bar. Im sure they will have your Grey Goose.  You will have to wear a fur coat and gloves to drink in there. That should be fun.......:freezing:

OK I am still waiting for some details on this cruise and the maiden voyage. I am hoping itinerary details will be out in November ~18 months ahead of the first cruise. I need to plan 2010.

It's back  May 2010 delivery. Now we wait for the details of first TA :docdance:

http://www.cruise-community.com/ShowStory.asp?ID=15797

NCL Corp. and STX France Cruise confirmed they have reached an agreement on the disputed F3 project and are moving forward with the construction of one ship -- as first outlined here on Dec. 8.

STX France Cruise is now building a single F3 vessel at 150,000gt with 4,200 passenger berths, continuing work on the hull which has been in the early phases of construction. Delivery is set for May 2010, which had been the delivery date for the second F3 ship.

Unless the TA fits in with school vacations I think we'll have to miss out :(  but maybe there will be some European sailings in summer 2010.  Perhaps out of Barcelona as the Gem will be sailing out of Venice?

Jade has taken the Gems slot at BCN so that leaves Southampton free for a shiny new ship.

And Southampton can handle large ships - Independence of the Seas has been based there this year.
