These would be soooo interesting! As a history buff, I know that most civilizations developed along rivers. Imagine the history and beauty you could see traveling by river.

I have never had a yearning to go to the Far East, but I think river barging in Europe would be a blast!  I need to investigate....maybe that would be a fun thing to do whn my DH retires and we can go away for more than 7 days....:out of it:
