I never claim to be a "swing" expert. We've just been in the lifestyle for a long time, and even at that we are not nearly as active as many.
Welcome back!

We looked in to it, but at over 3X the price of a regular cruise we decided to stick with the same group we have been going with.
It's April 26, 2009 out of Tampa for 7 days starting at $949 according to Yolo. That can't be 3x regular price.
Btw by "everywhere" I meant other than here and CC. I think I've seen you contribute on the Cruise Line sites themselves. Stalking? C'mon. Hey, you're shoe's untied.

Actually I use DJ pretty much everyplace I post except Star Wars forums (it's always taken), so I am used to "everywhere" being lots of places LOL
OK, not 3x the price, but $650 vs $950 for the cheapest inside cabin is a big jump. The suites start at $2500 vs $1560.
I don't mind adding a couple hundred to the bill for parties and the work of the organizers, but I know how many freebies TA's can get a group.
Cost of renting the Fantasy class ships in 2005 was $10,500 per day, even if you double that to $21K for the Legend that is still only $147K. At YOLO's prices the suites alone come up to $131K. Profit is one thing, gouging your client base is another IMHO.
I should also point out that I don't like the fact that they don't have any way set up for people to start meeting each other and chatting before the cruise. It's also one of the things I don't like about lifestyle conventions. Tons of people, but if you actually like to get to know someone first it makes it very difficult. And yes, we are picky.

Exactly so. A few years ago on CC, we have a thread going about "DINKS" (double income, no kds)......it was a great thread with child-free members enjoying talking about the joys of adult vacations.......Madame Censorship herself (Laura Sterling) kept poofing the threads. After about the 6th time, she came back and said we could not have any more threads on such a "controversial" topic....that it "offended" some of the mothers there.
WTF????????
Guess it didn't matter that her pulling our threads offended us!
LOSER!!!!!!

LOSER!!!!!!
I'm a Mom and I saw nothing in that thread that was offensive at all. I love my kids and kids in general. Not everyone wants to have kids around all the time and I can accept that. That doesn't mean they're child-haters. Some people just have different preferences. Heck, sometimes I don't even want my own kids on my cruise!
What drives me nuts is when people know darn well they've booked on a family oriented cruise and then complain about all the kids. Uh...duh.
Sorry for the hijack. Back to swingin'.....

Exactly! It was just another "adlternative" lifestyle thread, just like the ones they have for senior cruising, single cruising, homosexual cruising, etc. Not everyone wants to have kids, and not everyone that is child-free are kid haters.......It was unfair, in my way of thinking, that she would allow all those other "lifestyle choices", but not the DINKS thread.

That's one of the big reasons this board exists..........the Moderation over there is pathetic.
Over there (don't even enjoy going over there anymore) as well as "other" places

Hi freaks and geeks, another one of DJ's pals from the alternative end of the world..........it's nice to find a more tolerant group!
I think I will enjoy this more than that "other" place.

We're a smaller board, but we enjoy a great deal of freedom of speech here. We can use colorful language, tell off-color jokes & have really cool smilies!
Join in & welcome to CTT!
