I don't get over to CC much so I'm starting a thread here! Who's coming?

DH and I will probably make it for Saturday night with the group. With all that's going on in our lives these next few months, I don't believe we'll be able to do more than that.

Toby Keith's again? It's been the tradition every year since the first one with just DH, Chris, Reece and myself and has worked well so far. (The single men really LOVE the Whiskey Girls!) :big grin:

Hope to see many of you I've met before and see some new faces as well!

It's definitely a great time!!  Sadly it looks like the weekend picked isn't going to work out this year for me, reecey and randy... but I recommend it to anyone, it's always a REALLY fun and crazy weekend!!!!!  Plus this year there will be SO much more to do, and Howl at the Moon ROCKS with this group!!

Sharon, I would absolutely LOVE to see you and Dave! Everyone is welcome!

It's usually a 3-day event, but no one is locked into all 3 days. Most people are okay with any weekend, but it looks like it's getting narrowed down to Aug. 15-17. In the months ahead, plans will be discussed as to what area people want for hotels and what will be done during those 3 days.

Typically, people drive or fly in on Friday then everyone gets together at a specific restaurant for dinner with drinks before and sometimes after at one of the local bars. We have tons of nice places without breaking your pocketbook. Last year we had over 20 people from all over the country. We did the Granfaloon before dinner then went to George Brett's as a group to eat. After that, we were all tired and went back to the hotel.

Saturday, the group does what they want. I went home from my hotel since most of them went to the adult section of our local waterpark, Oceans of Fun. If this doesn't appeal to you, KC is a great city for tourists! At night we all got together and headed to Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill. We ate, drank, danced, talked and laughed. This is located in one of the big casinos here so there is a lot to do and see besides just Toby's.

Sunday is for breakfast for those who can crawl out of bed, saying goodbye and heading home. I'll put in some links so you can see what I'm talking about.

Hope you can make it!

Deb, it sounds good. We know the city some but not alot. We do have family there and it is only a 7 hour drive for us. Dave says we can plan on it.

We may make this the beginning of a week there to see family in Olathe, Lawerence and Abilene and of course, the old home in Belleville. :proud:

Not actually, it was just a suggestion. Nothing was ever set in stone. Up to the point where Chis said she can't make it on the 15th it looked like that was a date that everyone was able to go.

We were trying to get a date set so everyone can sart making plans. Shelly was wanting to book an August cruise for her and the boys. So she started a thread.

It still blows my mind that you've lived in Belleville. It really is a small world isn't it?

You guys don't forget to check with BJ!!  I don't think she knows the planning is going on does she?  I'd hate to see her get left out of the planning, since she is also one that has been a huge influence in this meeting each year...

Ok I'm posting this link here............   because until about 15 min ago, I didn't even know it EXISTED.

I don't visit the threads on CC as regularly as I have been, quite simply because I have no cruises booked right now.  :P

I've already e-mailed her the other day. She has been really busy and wanted me to tell everyone hi for her. She said that August is really far away and that she can't make any definate plans. She knows for sure that she is scheduled the weekend of the 2-3 and 23-24. Other than that she will not know anything until it gets closer.

Well my confusion lies simply in the fact that I didn't even know dates were being discussed in a separate thread on CC!

Yeah, it's far out for me too... I can't even get airfare for my July trip because I can't get fares on XJet for some reason... If Vegas doesn't pan out, Randy and I will probably be in KC the weekend of the 22nd, for anyone that can't make it the previous weekend...

I think it is cool that we are dragging some new people along every year.  This will be my first that I get to attend in person.  All the other ones I have attended via drunky calls and drunky posts.  "Gert in my bellyq!" :drink:  I can't wait to go this year.  The rental wants to fly to MN and drive down with me, but when he finds out he can fly from Philly to KC for less, he might change his mind.

So it is the 15-17 weekend?  I'll make sure I get that Friday off.

I guess I should have been more specific when I e-mailed you Amy. I apologize. But like I said, nothing was or is definite. Dates were just being tossed around. I feel really bad about this. I am just gonna stay outta the planning part from now on. :(

Most definitely!!  The first year we did it, it was just me, Reecey, Deb and Mike, LOL!!  The next year was SO much bigger and last year even bigger!!!  I hate that we can't make it... but hopefully you guys will have enough new people to make up for it!  I'm sure it will be a blast!

No worries... thankfully Reecey kept me in the loop so I knew what was going on... she doesn't do the boards, so it was a good thing you emailed her or I would have been completely thrown for a loop!!

GG was the one that told me in chat Thursday night or I wouldn't have known either. I don't get to CC much myself these days so I would have totally missed it since it's in a group cruise thread. I also have no cruise plans this year, but I think everyone understands why. ;)
