We need to recruit some more for this meeting!
I don't do the water park thing so perhaps we could find an alternative activity for those who would rather do something else. There are tons of possibilities.

Here is a small sample:
1. Country Club Plaza
With amazing shops, great restaurants and those famed Kansas City fountains, the world famous Country Club Plaza gets the top pick of About Kansas City's attractions and destinations. The Plaza (as we locals call it) was the US's first outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment district and is wonderful any time of year. Sit at a courtyard and enjoy an evening of jazz, or enjoy dinner and drinks on one of the many patios around the district, enjoy a romantic carriage ride, and be amazed by the Plaza Lights during the holidays. See why over 170 shops and restaurants make it KC's top destination.
2. Nelson - Atkins Museum of Art
The world renowned Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (4525 Oak) is one of Kansas City's most treasured gems. With amazing exhibits both inside and out--the Nelson-Atkins boasts one of the most impressive collections anywhere. With everything from ancient Egyptian sculptures and Japanese collection with more than 2,000 works of art ranging from the 10th century B.C.E. you could spend days looking at everything. Admission is free, although to see most special exhibits, a small fee is charged. The Bloch Building is the Nelson's newest venture and opens in June 2007.
3. Kansas City Zoo/ IMAX
The Kansas City Zoo and its adjoining IMAX theater is a great attraction for those young and old alike. The Zoo has gone through a major transformation in the last few years and boasts over 200 acres with over 900 animals. Where else can you travel the world and see animals from all of the continents all in one day? The Zoo does have trams, shuttles and a train--but be advised, you'll get a lot of exercise!
4. Kansas City BBQ
When it comes to Kansas City, barbeque is one thing we do better than everyone else. With our rich traditions of dry rubbed meats cooked to perfection and covered with our spicy sauces, it truly is what made Kansas City "The Home of Barbeque"...

5. Union Station/ Science City
The fully restored Union Station is one of Kansas City's favorite attractions with plenty of great things to see and do. With everything from the fully interactive Science City and its famed Rail Exhibit to movies, planetarium shows and world famous exhibits (think Dead Sea Scrolls and Titanic)--Union Station is a great place to visit. They've also got some great restaurants like the famed Pierpont's and the Union Cafe if all that attraction going makes you hungry.
6. Harry S. Truman Presidential Library
Harry S. Truman was not only the 33rd president of the United States--he was also an Independence, Missouri native. The Harry S. Truman Library (500 West U.S. Highway 24, Independence, MO) is home to an amazing collection of presidential artifacts (over 30,000) that includes everything from Presidential gifts that he and wife Bess received during office, political memorabilia and other artifacts from the Truman era. The Truman Library is also a well known research library and has a massive collection of photographs, motion picture collection as well as political cartoon exhibit.
7. Riverboat Casinos
Even if you are not a gambler, the Kansas City Riverboat Casinos are also great dining, shopping and entertainment destination. The casino's boast everything from great movie theaters and restaurants to concert venues, hotels and spas. Some of our faves: Harrah's Casino with Moby's (excellent place for seafood) and it's Voodoo Lounge brings in some of the greatest acts anywhere. Ameristar boasts a great buffet and hits a home run with it's Pearl's Oyster Bar and Arthur Bryant's. Don't skip Crazy Olives or the amazing spa at Argosy..and that's just the beginning.
8. 18th and Vine Jazz District
The historic 18th and Vine Jazz District is a fitting tribute to what put Kansas City on the map...our world famous Jazz and Negro Leagues Baseball. The district, which was resurrected in the late 1990's, is home to the American Jazz Museum, Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, and the Gem Theater. With great restaurants and clubs like the Blue Note jam sessions and great acts abound. One thing is for sure... --there's always something going on at 18th and Vine.
9. Powell Gardens
Located just east of Kansas City (1609 NW US HWY 50, Kingsville, MO, 64061-9000) Powell Gardens is an amazing 900+ acre botanical garden that boasts amazing displays of plants and flowers that are in bloom any time of year. The displays change with the seasons, so you'll never see the same thing twice at Powell Gardens and is beautiful year-round. Have lunch at their great Cafe Thyme or see their beautiful chapel--home to many weddings throughout the year.
10. Liberty Memorial and the National WW1 Museum
Liberty Memorial and the WWI museum is the United States official WWI Museum and honors those who served in WWI and honors the memory of the sacrifices those who served made. This interactive exhibit shows the consequences WWI had and the impact it had on the US as a country. The museum and memorial serve as the leading educational institute and resource of WWI. Head to the top of the Liberty Memorial for some of the best 360 view of Kansas City.

Beleive me, you don't wanna know!!!!!!
He's the head of a group called the FOMT's (Friends of Mr. Tractor). Some people call him "Mr T", but he also goes by Jerry or Pinky.
He has a loyal group of followers, mostly NCL'ers. He doesn't know how to run a vote, and is not a popular fellow here at CTT with some members.

Two years ago, I could have turned it into a business trip as our label supplier was located there. We switched.
It'll have to be another time, another place.
