What about us married guys? Will we LOVE the whiskey girls too????:bunny:

Oh yes Darcy! You absolutely will! Here's Gramps with one last year.

Nice! This looks like it might be fun to go to!!!

Now how do I convince DW that this would be a "business" trip and that I needed to attend??:bunny:

party is not a word that has to be said twice to me, lol.

seriously...i may talk to dh about this.  but it would have to be before school starts (before the last weekend in august) for us to even consider it (if i cld get him on board) so we cld bring the kids somewhere (i'm thinking inlaws :big grin:) and have the w'end free.

Many of the people who come have sailed on at least one S&S cruise. Maybe all of them, but I'm not sure. We had a couple last year that has never sailed with the group. He just saw talk of it on the boards and since he lived in town, he and his wife joined the group on Saturday night. This will be my fourth KC meeting and I didn't sail with the group until the last cruise.

We're always looking to meet new people, no matter which line they prefer. That's why we say everyone is welcome! And we always have a good time! Since I'm pretty sure we won't be cruising this year, I'm hoping we'll have lots of new people join us as well as the ones that have come to KC before. It's the only chance I'll get to see any of them!

S&Sers have made up the bulk of the group the last couple of years. I however was not an S&Ser until after the 3rd meeting last year. Friends tell friends and it seems to grow every year. You do not have to be an S&Ser to join us!

I started a poll at CC to try and determine which weekend would be the best. If you plan on attending please give your imput. There have been several views,  but  Chris and I are the only two who have voted so far.

I'm not going to vote....  as of "right this moment" I have nothing major scheduled in August (i.e a booked trip somewhere else ).

BUT - what that means is that I REALLY have no clue about work and things like that...  I won't have a better idea on what weekend will work for me (or won't work) until probably May or June.  I'll vote then, ok?

I simply think it's just too early in the year to decide on a simple 2 night weekend trip in August!

That's fine. I totally understand. Some of the folks that have to fly in or were trying to make other summer plans wanted to try and get it figured out so they could try and get a jump on airfare or work it into their other plans.

Everyone's situation is different and I understand both sides. Some people can't plan that far out and others need to have enough notice in order to be able to work it in. I see both sides.

I was just trying to help. Please don't be mad.

I'll probably know better in March/April... as of now, I'm going to be in KC the weekend of 8/22, meet and greet or not... that may change in the coming months though.
