When the MIA weather service issues a special marine warning including waterspouts for 20+ miles offshore and we're at Great Stirrup Cay...Green is my favorite color!

Sun going to bed last night was SPECTACULAR!  I love this time of the year as often we get great sunsets when the weather is nice. :big grin:

Calm before the storm?  Is another Hazel coming in a few months?  Hmmmm....

If those birds aren't careful, they could be on the menu for dinner.
Nice wing span shots.
Is that a wire for the balcony with a little juice running thru it?? My father did that one year on their balcony, he was so fed up with the pidgeons. He would plug the one end into the socket and the other end was live!:shoot me:
Don't ask... long story:confused:

Good heavens no!  I remember being on a vessel that did have an electrical problem that resulted in getting 450 volt shocks through the window washing system!  Normal household power is 120/240V for comparison.  Hey come over around Christmas time for a party!  We're turning out the lights...everyone hold on to this hose and light up like a big human Christmas tree! :roflmao:

That wire is actually a coax cable running to my satellite dish up on the superstructure.

I'd rather deal with gulls than pigeons though.  They can be nasty in numbers and indeed many building owners do install a wire system similar to an electric fence that delivers a shock to keep them off.  So they'll just go to the roof where all their feathers and poop gets sucked into the cooling towers clogging the slots and dropping the pH of the cooling water. :flamin:

The biggest risk of Legionella is from (under) heated DHWG (domestic hot water generator...ok what us engineers call a water heater!) and poorly maintained condensate drip pans in large air handling units.  CT water is generally isolated from people although tower drift can carry a long ways into areas where (unprotected) persons may walk.  (and breathe!)

Pigeon shit does wreak havoc with lots of things though.  Nothing like pressure washing the condenser coils with hot foaming coil cleaner containing hydrofluoric acid!

My sister told me today that a person we were looking at on the net had a Mona Lisa smile... I wonder if she meant this one!
