We're flying AA on the way back home from our cruise. They require you to check in online 24 hours before departure and print your passes.
Well...the last day of our cruise is a sea day. How does one go about checking in and printing off the necessary documents? Can you print from the computers on the ship? Or is there another way to do this?
Thanks!

You can most definitely print these off on the ship! I've done it the last several cruises. Just go in the day before you disembark, making sure it's within the 24 hour time limit and you should be good to go. You will have to put the Internet time on your ship account, but it shouldn't amount to much. Oh, and be sure to log out so you don't get charged for more time than you used.

There is no requirement to check in 24 hours ahead but if you do, you can also check in but not print a boarding pass.
If you are checking bags, you will need to stand in line at the airport anyway and they will issue your boarding pass when your bag tags are issued.
As long as you are holding pre-reserved seats, you don't even need to check-in in advance. It can all be done at the airport.

She is exactly right. If you have suitcases that you need to check in, you are going to have to wait in the line at the check-in desk anyway. So, you can just get your boarding passes at the check-in desk at the airport, when you give them your suitcases.
Now, if you only have carry-on bags, that's when printing your boarding pass the evening before your flight helps out. That way, you bypass the check-in desk at the airport and go straight to security and to your gate.

Well I work for AA so it wouldn't look too good if I was wrong

Thanks for the help! From what I read on the website it seemed to read that if you didn't check in within that time frame you'd lose your reserved seat. I have my seats all selected for all my flights so I should be good?
Thanks Deb. I didn't know you could print on the ship. That's a good thing to know! :)

| FYI - You can also check in @ curb side service. That's what I do when I leave from Charlotte. I think UsAir charges $2 per bag to do this but I don't care. It beats waiting in that long line! I've never been to san Juan, so I am debating on whether or not to print my boarding pass on the ship.
