My husband asked me tonight, what do you do when you're finished dining on a cruise? Do you just get up and walk out, do you have to sign anything (assuming there are no drinks involved)? I hadn't seen it mentioned, so I'm asking here!
Thanks.

When your ready to leave, be that after dessert or whenever we usually thank out tablemates for the nice conversation and company, excuse ourselves and go...off to a show or a lounge act etc. Your waiter and asst waiter will be loitering nearby so thank them as well and off ya go...nothing to sign...if you do order something like a cocktail or wine that requires a signature the waiter will have you sign for it when it is served just like in the bars...

Thanks so much for the quick reply - made DH happy that he doesn't have to wait for anything (impatient bugger!).

Mike's right............usually, whomever gets finished first just excuses themselves and then goes off to whatever they planned to do after dinner.
Sometimes, however, I have seen the coctail/wine server come back at the end of dinner to have the person sign their tab for their cocktails. I guess it jsut depends on how busy they are and how fast they get back to your table. Of course, you could tell them when they bring your drink that you'd like to go ahead and sign the tab then.

Push back from the table, lean back in your chair, unbutton your top trouser button, belch loudly, and say, "That there was some darn good vittles!"
(Sorry, couldn't resist)
