I have sailed RC, NCL, Holland and Carnival. I have never been on a cruise I hated. Embarkation took about 40 min and we were on board eating in no time. Our cabin was a balcony,6200 and was ready by 1:30. All luggage was there by 2 pm. Cabin Steward was great. He introduced himself the first day and that was the last time we saw him. He did all of his work while we were at breakfast, the pool or dinner. Dinner in the dinning room was very good and the service was outstanding. Breakfast and lunch on the Lido were just what you have come to expect from most cruise lines. They did have a very good deli and great burgers by the pool. The huge tv screen over the mid-pool was great with movies, concerts and sporting events during the day and evening. Ship was well decorated and not gaudy. Even though there were about 3500 people on board, you didn't realize it. Everything moved well. Ship was clean and well maintained. We didn't go for the ports because we have all been to them several times. Casino is pretty large for a ship and has a good choice of different ways to lose your money. The casino hated my wife (she lost), wasn't sure about me(Ilost a little) and loved one of our traveling companions. She hit a royal flush on video poker and won $1000 and then went to another machine and won $300 and then $400. All in all it was a good ship, good food and great service. My only negative, the desserts are lacking. They give you the so so desserts and sell the fancy cakes in the lobby for $2.00. But I will says this, it's the best $2 I have ever spent. Debarkation was typical for Carnival. They started by about 9 am and most were off by 10:30, but not all. If you had a flight before noon, and had proof, they would let you off early. And of course there is the carry all your own bags and leave first. I just have too much luggage for that.

Thanks for the review! I'm getting ready to book this ship for 2007.

We are going on the Liberty on February 25th.  How were the shows?  And did you hit the piano bar?  Was wondering who's playing there.  Did you like Todd Whittmer as the Cruise Director?
