WAKE UP BRANDY!
We had a great cruise to this point. We met some fun cruisers. We met Tom on Paradise Beach to conclude operation got milk. We had great food and drink on a great ship but it was time to face the last Sea day which always sucks. I enjoy sea days but I always have in the back of my mind that the cruise is almost over. TW and I started the morning in the gym to try and do some damage control. It is impossible to the kind damage control you need to while on a cruise. Working out on a cruise is like attacking the gates of Hell with a water pistol it’s not nearly enough firepower. We went to breakfast for eggs benedict, which after two bites made my time on the treadmill a joke! Again I have to say the food on Carnival blows the food on Norwegian away.
My sea days on a cruise consist of hanging out by the pool, eating and drinking for the most part. It is one of the best days while cruising. There is no place to be, nothing to do and a time to just relax. I was still pumped from my victory in the game show in the main theater the night before and proudly sat my “ship on a stick” beside me by the pool. All the CCers were in or around the pool and hot tub so it was a fun day. TW and the kids did the scavenger hunt at the pool and they each won a ship on a rope, which was nice, but they all knew that it did not compare to my coveted ship on a stick I had won. Greg (balls of the Bull) took Josh’s’ (swift utter) ship on a rope and wore it for the rest of the day claiming he had won the hairy chest contest? WTF? His chest has never even seen the prospect of a hair! I guess he was beginning to decompress after a long week that started being lost on Bourbon Street.
There were plenty of activities around the pool and around the ship. We peeled ourselves off the deck chairs and went to lunch. After a we took our mandatory Sea day nap and then it was back to the pool! The kids were still there wearing out the water slide when we returned. Another thing I noticed on Carnival was the Bar service was not nearly as in your face as they are on other cruise lines. They were there if you needed something but they didn’t ask you 100 times during the day if you needed a drink. It was a nice touch. The annoying bar service on NCL is the worst part of a sea day for me.
After a long day we had a great dinner. We watched the wait staff performs for the final time. Another nice touch Carnival added was the wait staff show was done topless which I thought was unique! After dinner we met up with most of the CCers in one of the clubs. I got a bottle of Spiced rum earlier in the day at the duty free shop and we finished most of that before the night was over. Overall I really have nothing bad to report on the cruise! Carnival did an outstanding job!
The only thing that happened at debark was some lady lost it and was lying on the floor of the terminal when we left. People were ready to go and were just stepping over her. She was in a small group that had just left her lying there. She looked familiar to me but she was laying face down and I couldn’t tell if it was Rene or not! Oh well, I guess the poor lady made it home OK!

| We will probably play a set at 9 or 9:30 and then a set at 10 or 10:30. We play 2 - 45 min sets usually when we play there.
