Many people on the beach in Bermuda stopped me to ask about the camera .Guess it looks strange putting this little silver camera underwater:shock:

My underwater pictures did come good so I am pleased.

For Wrestlmania I may be bringing my Canon 35,mm with one of my dad's very large zoom lenses.I also will take the digital's too.I have a few to choose from and I have his cameras.I didn't take after my dad He was an excellent photographer Even did it as a side business in his younger days

Back to cleaing up:(

Lee, do you have pictures posted from the cruise that you took with this camera? I would love to see them as I really think this is the one I'm getting.

You might have posted them already and I looked at them but I wasn't looking for a new camera then. I wanted to wait till after Christmas to see what I got. ;) I'm very happy with my lap top :cheer::breakdancer:but now I'm shopping for the camera and a GPS.
:P

Thanks

I know for sure any of the beach photos of course the underwater shots were taken with it .I had my other camera with me so not sure which were taken with that one .But for sure all the beach the ones taken on the catamaran were with that one .If you look at my Christmas pictures I used that camera .I do prefer it over my other one and it is nice and small

Thanks so much for posting the link. Sounds like it might be the one to go with.

I'm also waiting for Grace to pop in and let me know if there's a newer model to look for.

Then I plan to learn the video feature on my Olympus d-560 zoom and use it for that mainly and as a back up as it does take good pictures, just can't go in the water with it ;) I'm also assuming and you know what they say about that but that the Olympus stylus 770 sw would be a better camera to take to a beach and the sand shouldn't bother it.  Grace what does Sam think?

We're off to the movies now I did get all the wall stuff down and one hutch. Many more to go, lol Later

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.  We all have colds :sniffles: :fingers

I have a big pot of split pea soup simmering with the leftover ham from earlier in the week.  I'm hoping that will fortify us before we head out this evening.

We are going to see Spamalot! I've wanted to see it for a long time.  I'll down a bunch of cold medicine and go enjoy myself.

For the GPS at least, try Amazon.com.  Their prices even beat Costco's when we were buying.

DG Good for you....hope you have a great time. The split pea soup sounds yummy. I am making my meatball Italian soup with spinach and veggies. I love soups in the winter. Have a great time. Feel better.

Marie, that sounds really good.  I'm sitting here trying to decide what to have for dinner after basketball (all 4 games) is over.  I don't feel like cooking and I don't know what I want.

Sam is the camera guru so he may know more. Maybe now they have a newer model:confused:

Sam says the new model is not as good as the 770.  The housing isn't as sturdy - can't go as deep or drop from as high.

Judy, we are very pleased with the 770, which is saying a lot because Sam is a Canon snob. :big grin:

Becky, hope you and your family recover quickly.

SJ and Judy, where are the timeshares you own located?

Marie, some meatball soup sounds good about now (split pea too...) ... wondering what to eat tonight.

No one is hungry but me.  We had a late lunch in Chinatown.  My cousin from Texas came up to show off her 7th month old baby girl.  She's really cute. :cloudnine:

Becky hope you all feel better and Spamalot is great! We enjoyed it a lot. Thanks for the GPA tip I know I want a Garmin, just which one is the question. My SIL and DD did tons of research my DD calls her husband a geek, lol he speaks geek. And this is the best one for your money or so I'm told.

The soups sound good, we just sopped at the dinner on the way home. I went to the wrong theater ;) so we saw National Treasure with Cage, it was good. So maybe tomorrow we will see Deep movie.

Grace thanks I think that's the one I'm going to get, will check out the flyers and online.

My timeshare is where else then DISNEY! Westgates, I love it. I own the last week in Oct. , first week in Nov. depending on the year. I'm so ready to visit Disney again. I could use a short getaway. ;)

SJ where is your home resort? You don't like to fly as I remember. One nice trade is the Smoky Mts in Tenn and for us it was only a 12-14 hour drive, not to bad, I loved the Westgates Smy Mt resort we stayed there twice. We also enjoyed the Virginia Beach trade we did last year, short drive.

I'm so ready for another vacation I can tell. :big grin::big grin::big grin: When all I talk about is vacation. :P

Sam says that Garmin is a good brand.  Sam bought my parents and ourselves the  TomTom.

My parents have gotten really good use out of it.  They REALLY love "that woman" :lmao1: and take "her" everywhere and always praise how well "she" works after every road trip!!  :big grin:  Sam selected the Chinese language option on the GPS for them.  It's a hoot.

Grace in my car we call her Lola (from the movie RV with Robin Williams) - my brother loves that movie and he was in my car one day playing with it.

I bought my coffee machine.  Larry is having his first cup right now (decaf) and he likes it.  I made Steven have Hot Chocolate.  I want to have a cup of tea but, there were only a couple in the sample box that came with the machine and I don't want to waste them.  I NEED my tea in the mornings.  I found a website that I can buy the Coffee and Tea from and it is less expensive than the stores...and shipping is free.  Once Larry tries a few of them and decides which one he likes best I will order.

We went to see Larry's parents tonight.  His Dad is very sick and has lost a tremendous amount of weight in the last few weeks.  He isn't taking his meds and all he does is sleep.  He goes to the Dr. on Monday.  I hope they figure out what is wrong.  His Mom looks okay, but she probably only weighs about 80 pounds.  She also has a Dr. appt. for Monday.

Becky I am sorry to hear that you all aren't feeling well.  I hope that the drugs worked for you and you got to enjoy Spamalot.  The Pea soup sounded so good.  My Mom made a pot of it and Chicken Noodle last weekend and we had soup and sandwiches at her house last Saturday.  I brought Matza balls over for the Chicken soup.  The kids loved it.

Marie that Italian Wedding soup you made sounds really good.  I love that kind.  I wish I knew how to make soup.  I am going to have to got to Mom's one day when she is making a pot of Chicken Soup so I can see what to do.

Judy my GPS is a Magellan and it works really well.  I got it the day after Thanksgiving last year at Radio Shack.  It was a really good price.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and all that Christmas undecorating that is going on.  I think we are going to take down our tree tomorrow.

Have a good night.

In general, Sam says the Garmin is VERY good.  Both Garmin and TomTom are accurate, top brands, and both use updated chips and maps.  Bottom line is to find a model with the features that you want and like at an attractive price.

No warming here yet, it's 24 :finger:. But they say it's coming next week.

Pulling the window candles out today and maybe some more assorted things. We plan to have the tree out back for collection by a week from Tuesday.

Paul, we are scheduled to be in Halifax from 8-5 on Wednesday, August 27. We've done Peggy's Cove and the Titanic cemetary thing, so may just go into town on our own. Hal and Geri are going with us, so we'll have to discuss it. We'd love to join you for a cold one.

That would be great Al, lets hope the planets wil line up. ;)
