.Good 17 degree morning to all  . Temps in the 50's by mid-week though, which we can handle. Don't know if that's good news for folks like Judy who have so much snow on the ground.
Lee, we do the same thing with our lights and tree, but do start to take down the other stuff that sits or hangs around the house. Last things are the lights, tree and nativity. I've gotten two boxes packed and plan to do another today. We do it in stages cause I think it gets depressing  .

Morning Lee,
Paul's at work...poor guy...I just went to the mailbox and it's freakin' freezing out there...not a good day to be working outside.

Good Morning Everyone!
We're a balmy 22 degrees here this morning 
But, it's better than snow (though we do have some ice on the roadways anywhere a bit of water managed to get on).
I just thought I'd pop in to wish everyone a Happy Friday!

I think that's it Lee, the house just looks emptier. We really don't do much decorating for the other holidays, but we always say we should. Maybe a bit for Valentine's day next. We do change our door wreath for that .
Kathy, are you scheduled to get any of the warmth we are going to have later this week?
I see there are shore excursions posted for Halifax and Sydney on our cruise. I'm still leaning to doing these ports on our own since we have been to both of them before. We rented a DVD titled Shattered City: The Halifax Explosion about a munitions ship that exploded in the harbor during WW I. We had learned about it on a visit there before. The movie was excellent if anyone is interested. I think it was originally a Canadian Broadcasting Service miniseries.

Al I decorate for Valentines Day.Don't have much maybe two boxes
I will put some red and pink lights on one tree in front of my dining room window and then I have a Heart shaped wreath that I put the lights on.I did look for things when I went shopping the other day but really not much of anything .I have made it very hard for myself because it seems that my neighbors enjoy my house .I had one neighbor tell me the other night that every time he drives past my house he smiles.He said that the house always looks beautiful for the holidays.He loved Halloween to Thank God I'm not Irish because I would be putting up the Green .
Easter I have some nice lawn things .These giant wooden Easter Eggs and Bunnies with the lights but we go away so I try not to do so much .I may have to set the timers before we leave Then after Easter nothing Then I get to decorate the back yard with my palm trees and Joe doesn't know this yet but I want some new furniture .A couple of chairs with the couch a table all to be put under the new cabana/tent I want

or we could take the Gem to Europe for 15 days. I'm really not sure if I should cancel the Spirit and book something else before its too late.

I just has a phone call from Jeanne. She is in Staten Island Hospital, It seems she had a seizure a while back, bit the inside of her mouth and now she has a BAD infection......
Thomas and I are going to go visit her tomorrow.....
I tell you, that girl has the most unfortunate track record for poor health.... It REALLY IS quite disturbing......

Lee, I want to come spend summer in your back yard. The palm trees sounds fun.
I don't decorate as much for the other holidays as I use to when the kids were young. I was like you Lee had neverything for every holiday. I now scale it down. I skip Easter as I'm always on a cruise, much more fun 
"SJ, you're going to LOVE your lap top, I know I do. It drives Jerry nuts as I'm onlline even more now. Still learning the lap top stuff and playing with hte MP3 downloads
I plan to do as you AL, I'm taking down the wall ans shelf stuff thisnweekend, leaving the tree up like you SJ till next weekend. I got it up late this year abd haven't had enough time to really enjoy it. I plan to this weekend and next week. Then it will come down.
