Morning folks.
Yes, sadly they did. That's what made me nervous about this series. The Phils didn't win any of their games at the Dodgers in the regular season. Of course they didn't lose any at home, so we'll just have to see. At least the Eagles won .
One of my favorite days of the year - flu shot . At least it's a freebie.

Hello, Nice day here. Bright and sunny.
I still haven't finished my review but I did start writing it. Things have been stressful around here since Dennis and I are seperating. It's hard to concentrate on much.
I have an appointment today and I really look forward to going outside.

Joe is going on Wed. He really hasn't complained of any pain so hopefully he'll get his cast off.

Hi folks
Last day of the long weekend .The show on Saturday was fun and short. I guess the BBC like things short . A little over an hour and I will say this was the very first show I have ever seen that half the seats were empty. It was the last time of the day and I am sure the early shows were crowded but it is evident that the economy is in the toilet. Last year we tried at the last minute to go and the only tickets left were the stupid high price seats. I took pictures I will put them up It was pretty cool seeing these dinosaurs.

Joe is going on Wed. He really hasn't complained of any pain so hopefully he'll get his cast off. She goes today at 5 .I think being it is right on the elbow and having her arm bent plus the whole arm is covered causes some pain.Once in awhile she asks for a motrin . We will see what happens today .She has her fancy sling so she is at least not complaining about the horrible blue hospital one

Hi Lee -
We're hanging in there...I'm going to the doctor at 6:45PM tonight. I'm itching/burning and there's a rash starting on my lower back and sternum. I'm hoping that it's just dust and crap from working in the basement all weekend....but, it may be the dreaded "S" word. So, off I go to the doctor who thinks I'm crazy. Just freakin' lovely way to end the day today.
Mom & Dad are having a blast though. They called Saturday and Sunday (lovely cell bill for me this month ). But, they are just happier than they've been in a while so it's worth the money. Ship is lovely, they are really getting a lot of attention and the food has been great for them. I'm really happy that they are having a good time. We even got to speak to the room steward on Saturday (since he was our room steward last month). He was so excited (as we were too). Mom said the guy was *still* grinning from ear-to-ear on Sunday!
Hope Jen makes out OK with the doctor today. Must be a total mess for her...poor kid.

Thanks Lee.
With my history with shingles, the next few hours are going to be nerve-wracking for me.

HI EVERYBODY.....!!!
I am sorry it has taken SO LONG to get back to you, but, the past few days have been HECTIC....!!!
Theresa is OK. Thomas got home around 1:30am Friday/Saturday night, it was like a CRAZY DAY....!!!
Theresa's medical issues are VERY, VERY COMPLICATED.......
Theresa did have major surgery about 20 years ago where just ALL of her large intestines and some of her small intestines were removed. She had some kind of a disease, I don't know the name.
She has had a bunch of health issues over the years, she suffers from some genetic problems, I really don't know the names of everything. She did have her adrenal glands removed many years ago too......
So, Theresa, I guess you would say is in "delicate" health. There is always some kind of medical condition afflicting her, small and big.
On Friday, all that pain in her stomach was a SEVERLY enlarged small intestine. She had MANY tests. The surgeons at Montifiore were FASCINATED.....!!! The head surgeon came down and told her he had NEVER seen such a thing....!!!
But, a twisted intestine was ruled out. She was given three bags of fluid and she felt better. She was also SEVERLY dehydrated, she has NOT been eating and drinking properly either. So, the Doctors really DON'T KNOW what happened to her intestines.
She does have bursitis of her shoulder, she has an appointment this week with our Orthopedist.
But, Theresa can be quite difficult to help, she doesn't tell you the truth or you get half truths or you get nothing out of her. Trying to help her can make you CRAZY....!!! She NEVER tells the truth of how she is feeling, she hides things like how much pain and where, she pretends she does not understand.
If I didn't know she was a college graduate and has a "real" full time job, I would think she was "special" and was being cared for. She can be VERY childlike and childish. I think she has a good heart, I know she cares for Sara and Thomas. But, she can be VERY "trying" at times.....
When Thomas took her to the Doctor today she admitted that sometimes she goes for days without eating because she can't be bothered to cook. Thomas and her Doctor were SHOCKED....!! So, now, I have to look into meal deliveries for her...... I guess we will have to call her every day to make sure she is OK. She also has been skipping medication because she wants to save money.....!!!
Like I said, dealing with Theresa can make you want to bang your head against the wall...!!!
The past few days Sara has become VERY, VERY, VERY EMOTIONAL about Thomas and I leaving for the Dream cruise. She is crying ALL THE TIME.....!!! She has been sleeping on Tom's side of the bed (Tom's in her bed), she is DEMANDING we cancel the trip and that we cancel next year's Grand Cayman trip and the Majesty cruise.....!!!
I feel SO STRESSED....!!! I love my Daughter SO MUCH, it is VERY HARD for me to see her so upset...... I DON'T plan these trips to cause her pain and I DON'T want her to be so sad and upset....
She just does NOT, I repeat NOT want to be here with Theresa. But, she does not want to go to any of her friends houses either. She does not want Thomas and I to go away EVER....!!! She will tell us when she is ready to be left home alone and it is NOT going to be anytime soon....!!!
I am just being torn a part. I find it sweet that Sara needs us as so much, it is quite flattering to be loved and needed SO MUCH, but, another part of me feels that at almost 16 she should be able to handle her Mom and Dad gone for a week........
But, I know that my cousin Alison's murder affected her greatly, it has made her MORE fearfull of things.....
I asked her if she would like to go on the cruise, she has said No, she has school......
Gosh, this being a Parent thing is hard.......

Wow SJ that is some story. Your SIL sounds like a real handful.
I feel bad for you. I am sure that Sara will be alright while you and Thomas are away. If I lived closer I would stay with her for you. Can she plan activities for the week while you are gone?...to take her mind off of you and Thomas not being there. I hope that it all works out.

Well the old furniture is at the curb. The garbage men come tomorrow. I am glad because I wouldn't want that stuff sitting out there for more than overnight. The new stuff is being delivered between 2 and 6 tomorrow.
Larry was off today and he cleaned the grout in the kitchen floor today. What a pain in the neck job, but it really looks nice. I am on a new kick of cleaning everything with Vinegar. It works well, is inexpensive and it isn't over powering like all the cleaning chemicals. It smells when you are working with it, but once it is dry there is no smell.
Ok off to bed soon. I hope Judy and Jerry and Marie and Ron are having a good time on their trips.

I agree what a story .I pray your SIL will be on the mend soon .
I wish Sara was by us or we were by you Jen and I could come over and help Sara and take care of the puppies I know we wouldn't bug her The only thing is I can't cook so maybe Joe would have to send over some food or maybe you could freeze a bunch of goodies
Sara reminds me of myself and how I hated when my grandmother left .At least three times a year she would go on these vacations to Europe or she went on cruises and every winter Miami. We lived in the same house and I never wanted her to leave .We were VERY close. I have a box full of postcards that my mom saved for me and I love looking at them .The best part of her vacations were when they were over and she brought home all the souvenirs and all her stories. When she went on a cruise it was evening gowns and not resort casual.I remember going on the ship with her going in her cabin running around the ship and then standing at the pier and throwing the streamers. Big difference today. She took many cruises right out of New York.
Sara will be fine and I know it is ripping you apart right now because you hate to see her so upset. Once you get on that ship everything will look better and I know Sara will settle down.
