OMG SJ that sounds like a nightmare for your SIL!!!! I hope she feels better soon.
Funny thing that you mention Bursitis....I started on Wednesday afternoon with my right shoulder. I can't lift the arm unless I actually use the left hand to pick up the right arm. It is very painful. My past experience with this sort of stuff is that it goes away as quickly as it appeared. I have just been taking Ibuprofen and rubbing the Active On Arthritis Formula and that seems to be helping. But, I couldn't dry my hair properly this morning and I look horrible...not to mention that it needs the cut it is getting this afternoon.

I just got a phone call from Thomas. Thing's have gone from bad to WORSE....!!!
It seems that on the drive down to the Bronx, Theresa started screaming out in pain, not from her shoulder, but from her stomach.
Thomas got her into the Doctor's office he examined her, asked her WHY she did not mention her stomach pain yesterday, to which she replied, "My shoulder hurt MORE...!!!"
Well, it seems that Theresa is now an Emergency patient at Montifiore with what he believes is an impacted/obstructed intestine....!!!
Theresa's stomach is all swollen, distended, and she is in agony......
She STILL has shoulder pain, but, her stomach pain is going to be treated FIRST....!!!
If it is what the Doctor believes it is, she will have to have emergency surgery....!!!
She is having all sorts of tests right now, man oh man, things can just change on a dime....!!!

SJ that is terrible .I will say prayers for her. Does she have a history of stomach problems? Something like that just doesn't happen . She had to have been having some problems before or does she have a stomach condition? I will pray for her I know how she must be suffering.
Miss ya I just have not been feeling so great .I went to my doc on Monday so hopefully I will start to.She prescribed a new medication so I am waiting for it to kick in. I am sleeping better but that is because it makes me tired and that I don't like but I think once I get enough in my system I will not be so tired. Who the hell knows.
How are the puppies ???? We were looking at their pictures just yesterday. They are just so cute .I know Jen and Sara keep in touch .How great is that .Shame we didn't live closer we could all go to the Twilight premiere together. I promised Jen the first show which I would think would be midnight on that Thursday .

OMG SJ.
 for your SIL for a safe and successful surgery and treatment for her problems. She's lucky to have Thomas. Glad they got her to the doctor and hospital promptly.
I understand about not wanting to change doctors. We are very loyal to ours. But that clinic system sounds horrid.
We're in the Bronx and we don't see any doctors here. We travel to NY Presbyterian for all our medical needs.

J&J went to their beach trip.
Dom is sooooooo adorable. Looks happy and healthy.
How are the kids with the broken arms? Lee, how is Mom? I wonder how La's Mom (or was it her MIL?) is doing as well.
My parents are really enjoying the minivan. Obviously some features such as the entertainment system and satelite radio are useless to them but they are enjoying the smoother ride, all the cubby space, power doors everywhere, etc. It's only been 2 days.

The new minivan sounds nice .The extras don't go to waste the girls enjoy them
My mom is coming along. She just saw her doctor yesterday he still said no driving for three more weeks .She is going crazy but getting out more thanks to her friends. She has a great group that really support her .My mom has always been very involved and outgoing and I am so happy she is .Would have been a different story if she was alone.
Are the girls off from school? Joseph had yesterday and today and he goes back on Tuesday. Jennifer has off today and she goes back on Tues. Nice little break.
We are going to see Walking With Dinosaurs tomorrow. We wanted to go last year but never did . At first I said to just take Joseph but Jennifer wanted to go so we are all going.It looks really cool on the commercials.

Glad to hear Mom is better and has the support she needs.
The girls were off yesterday for Yom Kippur - we took the minivan to Costco. They are back to school today and off again on Monday for Columbus Day. IF I still had valid Disney passes, guess where we would be?  Perfect time to take one day off.
No Disney until 2010. I'm trying REALLY hard to stick to this. It's not like I'm being deprived or anything with 2 cruises in 2009 to tide me over.
With the economy sucking - I think I need to be a little fiscally responsible. While I'm not cutting any trips, trying to not add to them. Sam's company is still doing well and keeping busy, but I think the economy will eventually affect them.
On the other had, I did my part to "simulate" the economy - new car, 2 cruises...

I just stopped by for a second.
SJ - hope your SIL gets the medical attention she needs. That's awful to hear. Please let us know how things are going.
Lee - sorry to hear that you had to have some med changes. I used to hate those changes. Sometimes I used to feel worse during them. One day, just stopped them all (probably not a smart move on my part). Just didn't want to keep going to the doctor all the time to sort out the side-effects of them.
For the kids on the mend...hope they are getting better.
It's been super busy at work and Mom & Dad just left Wednesday on their cruise. Just found out that Mom had an emergency MRI while we were away Seems like she has some sort of nerve damage in her neck. Doctor started saying "surgery" even before she had the MRI. Now she won't even consider just seeing my neurologist to get an opinion.
I need to go to the doctor too. Now I'm afraid to go since I'll  him if I go there for getting Mom all worked up before any test results and Bob already said he doesn't have the money to bail me out of jail. Then again, jail could be a form of vacation for me right now.

Hahaha - Jail is all inclusive. But I heard the food in jail is crappy. No freestyle - back to the set dining times. "Cabin" views are much to be desired. No need to pay a single supplement - the state will arrange a roommate for you. If you tip the "crew" for better service, it's considered bribery. On the other hand, if anyone in the next "cabin" (cell) tries to climb out on the "balcony" onto yours, they'll shoot to kill.

Thanks for the thoughts for Mom. I'll try to wrangle her into going when she gets back. 
I'll tell you, even traditional dining with crappy food and an "inside cabin", it sounds pretty good right about now - especially when you factor in there will be no balcony climbing (and that the "no balcony climbing rule" will be enforced)! 
Right now, I'm  in work.... and with all the financial  , I'm happy the company is still issuing payroll.

Good Morning
SJ how is your SIL Theresa doing? I will continue to pray for her.
Steven and I got our haircuts last night. He has grown a really disgusting ugly beard and no matter what an yone tells him he will not trim it or let it be trimmed. Well, last night was a shocker for the stylist and myself and he asked to have it trimmed  . We almost fell over when he said it. Now it looks very nice and most important, manicured.
Larry has to work today so I am going to the furniture store by myself . I just won't show him the bill until AFTER the furniture gets delivered .
What does everyone else have going on for the weekend??? Whatever it is have fun and be safe.

Afternoon
No word from SJ .I hope her SIL is doing better.Lots of T&P's .
Karen how are you feeling? Joseph needs a haircut. He likes the helmet lookIt is so long over his ears and his hair is so thick it looks like a helmet . Joe or I will buzz it today or no Dinosaurs tonight.
Looks like Jen and Joe have little colds .I hope Joseph and I don't get it.
I have to start getting everyone ready .Going to eat at Hollihans (just opened by us) before we head up to the Meadowlands for the show .Figure on leaving around 4 since the show is at 7:30

Good Morning
It is a beautiful day here and tomorrow and Tuesday it is supposed to be close to 80. I love that!!!
Furniture shopping was a success...it is being delivered on Tuesday. And the best part is that Larry never asked me how much it cost. Maybe one day I will spill the beans.
I made dinner and brought it to Mom and Dad's yesterday. Mom made the potatoes and veggies. Everything was delicious. My little nephew came over and was happy with all of his birthday presents and his cake.
We talked a lot about our weekend at Rocking Horse Ranch. Now we are planning on doing a trip in February when there is snow on the ground (I shudder at the thought). They make their own snow and have a lift for skiing, snow tubing and sleigh riding. I think the kids (and some of us "younger" adults) would have a blast. We are all cutting back on our Christmas spending and this would be something that we would remember forever. The kids grow up so fast and I would hate to miss a trip like this.
