Hmmmm.... these things always seem to happen while La is away from home?  Think LA misses La and is trying to tell her something? ;)

I hope everyone continues to be safe there.

I know I thought the same thing .Poor Charlie is home .I hope he is okay:praying:

Seems like it wasn't so bad but sure could have been

Good morning. Over the Hump Day!

Lee, that's a great price to fly to Florida! I still haven't assigned my seats yet for Dec. I really should do that.

I was up late last night booking a rental car, it does take up a lot of time. :nono: Prices were high ,catch me off guard a little. I finally found one after entering every code that mousesavers has for $314 for a week. Which is still high to me but the others were $400-$500 per week.

Everyojne have a great day. Looks like it's going to be a HOT weekend 80's and above.

I went and checked this out. :smiley1:  I can't believe that a couple people were such assholes. :finger:  I hate, hate, hate the NCL board over there.

It sounds like it will be fun for you to do.  I like the new cruiser idea.  My suggestion would be to talk about choosing the right cruiseline as one of the topics.

Judy ... thanks for reminding me why I just don't go there anymore :fingers  The new cruiser idea is great .... only problem is trying to keep within the time limits cuz there is soooooo much to cover.  Choosing the right line is an interesting topic, which for most first timers  is the most difficult to make  .... so many variations on the theme how do you decide which is right for you.

......  you could do a PP presentation with all your pictures, dailies etc .... just be careful with those Pirate pics.:big grin:

Hi gang.

Well, we're back. Had a really nice visit and the drive back was not too taxing. Now we have to get baking cookies for the weekend :P.

Judy, I agree with both the new cruiser idea and the fact that there are a lot of assholes on that board. :finger:. The never cruised people I have talked to often mention seasickness, boredom, and gaining too much weight. You might also want to discuss the difference between small and larger ship cruising.

Well, I'm three days behind on my naps, so :sleepy:

I agree.  If they don't like it being there they should just move on.  Some of them just have to be so darn rude.  This reminded me of "Ms. Belp" over there.  One night 2 people posted reviews of different cruises (both NCL though) on the NCL forum and titled them "whatever the ship and date.....VERY LONG".  That there should be your warning (or at least you would think).  They were both written very well with paragraphs and everything was understandable.  Well Ms. Belp came along within minutes of them being posted and replied with (and I am paraphrasing) "too long, nobody will want to read your review".  It was really bad.  I am not a triangle person over there, but, I pushed it both times that she did that.  I think she was banned for 48 hours or so because she didn't post for another 2 days again.  She deserved it.

Judy if you need dailies, I have a set all copied from my Bermuda trip in April...I could bring them to you on Saturday.  It is like a whole packet of stuff including the spa specials and the movie listings and stuff like that.  Let me know.

How is everyone today?  It is a hot one for us...and the next few days it seems are going to be even hotter.  I guess that is why they call it Summer!!!

I have to cook my Chicken Cutlets tonight for my Ranch Chicken with Mushrooms - like 9 lbs. of them.  I have my family reunion Friday afternoon and that is what I am bringing.  Last night I breaded everything and today I just have to fry it all.

Al how did you do with DS and DIL yesterday at the new townhouse?  House hunting is so cool to me.  Larry and I did it once, but then decided to stay where we are (at least for now).  My mortgage is done in like 8 years and he wants to retire in 5 :shoot me:.  I liked your "GI Bill".  Very nice.

Ok, off to do more filing.  I don't want my boss to come up with an "excuse" that he needs to bring his SIL into the office to "help" me.  She is of no help.

Have a nice day.

Great suggestion and one of the things I have on my list. I didn't think of the sea sickness till someone mentioned it. Talking about cruising will make it fun. :big grin:

I posted this on the main boards I visit, NCl, CCL and RCI and the NCL was the only one with assholes,:big grin: I got some good replies.

I'm  just wanted to get some new thoughts and some fresh ideas, I might have missed  :big grin:

Then the fun part to put it all together to pass the course.  :praying:

It's a very intense course I should have taken years ago but the timing was never right for my district. The master instructor planned this years course around when I could attend. :hide:  It's only offered once a year.

I take the class 8/5, 8/ 6, 8/7 &  8/11  8/12, they break in up in 2 weeks so you have the weekend to do your homework and put together the presentation, power pts, slides or what ever you plan to use.

Exactly, I don't read the garbage I always just glaze through but their are so rude people on NCL.

I'm thinking the same thing so much to talk about it could be hours ;) No Pirate pictures :big grin: :P Deciding the theme and keeping in within 30 minutes will be hard. But I would rather have too much to say then not enough. I do that now at the safety meetings for the drivers, I always go on and on!!! :big grin:

If you have a set all copied already, that would be great! Only if it's no bother or extra work for you.  I save my dailies ;) So I have some but need to copied them all.

SJ, I got directions from google maps and as a back up plus we're using the Garmin. Looks like we will go 84 west and then south from there. Seems easy.

E-mail or PM me a phone number just in case  :lost:

I can't wait to see everyone, weather is looking good :bouncy:

Still not sure if Mary is coming, she is trying to get someone to cover for her. I called her again today to get an update but she wasn't home.

Karen & Lee, What are you bringing to SJ? I'm bringing my Taco Salad. Seems we have enough sweets :roflmao:Grace and Al keep teasing us with them :P

Judy it is absolutely no bother to bring the packet...I made it months ago and it is in a gold envelope.  I will have it for you.

I am bringing a Fruit Platter and a veggie basket.  Taco Salad is one of my favorite snack things.  Between that and the cookies from Al and Theresa and then the cheesecake from Grace, SJ won't have to feed us!!!  All my favorites, and then SJ has a really great menu.

Looking forward to Saturday.

Doing payroll taxes today. :flamin:

I gave the girls a "Disney" assignment.  We have all these autograph books from Disney that cost us $$$ that is cluttering up my house but the girls don't want to throw out. :shoot me:  They have mostly outgrown the autograph stage anyways.  At character meals, they are more interested in the food. :big grin:  Although, they do pull out those autograph books to look at once in a while.

Anyways to keep them out of my hair while I am working, I had the girls make their OWN autograph books.  Emma is a pretty good artist so I had her draw a picture of each character she wanted to have sign her book.  She did a GREAT job.  So cute.  She drew them as carititures (sp?) - big heads and little bodies. :P  I printed out the characters on the printer for Lauren to color for her book since she isn't as good an artist.  They will have the characters sign under or next to their own picture.

To keep them busy more, I also had them make a passport for Epcot.  They have a page for each country in Epcot and drew and colored that county's flag on it.  They can get a passport stamp from each country when we go next month.

They finished both books today...

I'll have to think of more things to keep them busy. :shoot me:

Grace what great ideas:big grin: I love them gets the kids crafty at a young age. I read somewhere once to bring a pillow case for the character's to sign with permanent markers. I thought that was a great idea too, sometime they could use.

I'm so excited about our Disney trip, I booked our rental car last night. When are you leaving again?

Karen and Lee, the fruit and salad sounds great too.  Everything sounds great :big grin:

Lee, sleep as we get older seems to get harder :(  I hope you get some. We don;t go to bed early as we are not settled down till late.

These long days are great, I love them but it hurts the sleep really bad. :nono: The bad thing is we learn to live with it and the body or I should say mind doesn't work well with a week of just a few hours a night.

If that darn alarm would let me sleep a little longer that would help :big grin: as that's when I really can and want to sleep:dangit::dangit: As I'm sure it's the same for you. I think it's our age.

I can't wait for this part to get over with:sucks:

Good Night and sweet dreams:sleepy::cloudnine::sleepy::cloudnine:
