All the best to Kathy on your new job.
I love the picture of Dominick .I think what I like the most is how Paul looks when he is with him .Very sweet and special.
Al I agree with DS and his Bride I thought it was awesome and I have to see it again at a Imax Thearter.The figures of course are hard to find but we did manage to get one joker but they have one that they want 85 for .Joseph isn't a collector he is a player 
Judy I have Batman Begins and I have to watch it again but Joseph said this new one rocks next to it.

Kathy I hope you had a good first day with your new job. Congratulations and good luck. That picture of Dominic and Paul is very nice.
Judy I don't know where you get your energy from. You certainly know how to fill up a weekend. That is what keeps you so young.
SJ, you know I am glad that you washed those curtains....I was planning on doing an inspection of them on Saturday  . I am really looking forward to your party.
Lee sounds like Joseph is going to have a birthday few weeks. Good for him.
Becky are you and Dennis going to be able to come to NY this weekend? That would be nice.
I am off to some relaxation for the night. I hope Al and Theresa had a safe trip. Have a good night.

Happy first day to Kathy!!
Happy birthday (tomorrow) to Joseph!!  He's is one lucky boy. Looking forward to meeting him on Saturday. When is Jen going to Florida?
CaptN - the benefits running out sucks big time!!!  May you and yours stay healthy and may you get new benefits asap!
My parents and I and the girls played hooky today. We drove out to LI last night and stayed at my aunt's summer house. The girls stayed the whole day in the pool and we spent about an hour at the beach before heading home today. It was a beautiful day.
Back to work tomorrow...

I agree Jerry and I both thought it was great, the best one yet.Y dd and SIL are the ones that said they lkied Batman Begins better. I thought it was very well done.

SJ, I hope you're not going crazy cleaning just cause a few fools is comin g to visit. We want you healthy for our visit don't wear yourdself out before Sat.
Grace, what a nice way to spend a day off. Perfect, I bet the girls loved it.
Kathy, happy first day on a new job, may it be all you want it to be.
Karen, work hard all week and play hard all weekend that's my moto And I love it that way as in the winter I harbernate.

Al, hope you're having a blast.
The Time Warner guy NEVER showed up for our phone, I had to leave work earlier to wait for him. Now they have us scheduled for Thursday.
I have to leave work tomorrow to be here for the TV repair man they will call me and I will take lunch at that time. The tree guy is coming this week but we don't have to be here for that. It's becoming a nightmare.

Good Morning
I was up at 5 today...couldn't get back to sleep. It is kind of nice outside right now. It is supposed to get really hot later.
I was thinking of getting my act together early. I want to clean out my car and I need to stop at Sams Club on my way to work.

Not at all .... the insensitivity meter is reading 0 .... in fact I find it rather amusing that what I once bitched about I now believe I would look forward to. Sometimes you need to loose something to realize you really do miss it.

I so agree Tom, even times that I can't stand my job and I do complain, who doesn't. I always think of it as job security, it pays the bills and gives me a few vacations a year.
I sure hope the job market opens up for you SOON, I never thought when you and Sharon posted all about this at Thanksgiving time that you would still be unemployed in August. One just never knows what tomorrow can bring. Good vibes being sent your way!! Sometimes after school starts back up things tend to open up again.

TV repair guy came was here 15 minutes did nothing except give me an invoice for $162.00 and we call RCA and see if they have issues with sound on the model we have If so he will order a part. Don't you think they would have called RCA firs6t before coming as I told them that was the issue.
But then again they wouldn't have been able to charge me a service call
So I'm taking lunch early since I'm already here, it will seem like a long afternoon taking lunch so early

Having a nice visit with the kids. We're going with them tonight to look at a townhouse they are interested in. Then we may be talking GI Bill with them (Generous In-Law  ).

Going to see where our birthday boy wants to eat.
Nice day but I just now got to go outside .I am missing many tanning hours Not as dark as I should be
I am going to put the computer down and just try to get an hour in the pool .

Just heard about the 5.8 earthquake east of LA. So far, no reported injuries, just lots of swaying. Thank goodness.
Hmmmm.... these things always seem to happen while La is away from home?  Think LA misses La and is trying to tell her something? 
I hope everyone continues to be safe there.

As soon as I heard about it I called Larry's cousin Ken. He lives one town over from Palm Springs. Everyone was safe and there wasn't any damage there. He lives about 45 minutes from the center of the quake and he said that his house shook really good. His friends Mom lives just over an hour away north of LA and her cabinets opened and glasses fell out (and broke).
Glad to hear that most are safe. The next 24 hours are crucial though for them...this could be considered "little" and it could bring another larger quake.
Good luck to everyone involved. I hope Charlie is ok since he is still out there.

I have had enough cake for the next year. Joe got him A beautiful chocolate mousse cake.I told him to pick up one of those small cakes at shoprite already made up but he doesn't listen.Went to the bakery and bought this fancy big cake .I better remember to give it away to the kids friends tommorrow.
I still would rather eat what's left of the ice-cream cake
Joseph picked the Chinese Buffet in Eatontown .About a half hour north of us but better than the ones we have down here.Except the Japanese one that just opened but he doesn't like that one .
Judy I worked on the computer but booking plane reservations and changing reservations .What a mess but not my mess my Aunt's . Spirit round trip 88 .Sept-Nov BUT they now charge you for pre-booking seats
10 for a window 5 for a middle for 1 checked bag each way .But for less than 140 RT you can travel to Florida still a good deal .If you don't pick seats or check luggage only 88
Jennifer is leaving Aug 12 . Everything got pushed back because Ashleys aunt is coming up here for a week .Her kids are tired of Animal Kingdom Camp
I think Jennifer is coming Sat Not sure if she is going with Ashley or going with us
I have some work in the morning but after that if the weather is nice I plan on spending my day in the pool .
