Too much going on to even come on .I am on the computer all day but now it's become a job;) Looks like I may have a little job and I can make some pocket money since they are pretty empty right now .I would still be able to be home when I have to be and I am an independent contractor so I make my own hours .I have a few things lined up but I need to keep looking and get more work .

What kind of a job???

My Tom? His is on August 17th

The captN's is in early August, the 1st, 2nd or 3rd I think.

I will ask Laurel later if Charles's Birthday is today.

We think you're a nut in a very good way.   I want to see pictures of that tree.

About the birthday - I meant the day of the party.  Tom (CaptN) & Charlie are, I believe, August 1 & 2.  Then I'm the 5th and Grace is the 12th (???)

It's sad that Charlie won't be traveling.

Good for you and Thomas oh how I wish I could join you!!!!  Ive been dreaming of a cruise lately. I don't think of our May cruise to Alaska as a cruise. Weird but just not the same.

I'm still working on August 2nd!!! Don't count me out yet, :big grin: I have plans in the works. ;) Our plans have changed with my dd not traveling and I'm trying to switch what weekend we now drive to see her now as she can't come here.

No New York baby shower for her now, :(:(:( We were going to surprise her with a BIG shower with all her family and friends here in New York BUT now those plans changed :flamin: This was special as she didn't have one here in the states for Bianca as she was stationed in Okinawa. Looks like it will happen again 8 years later.

My GF and I had it all planned out and the hall was already rented, at least I hadn't sent the invites yet.:eyeroll: And the baby is fine. That's what matters, we're planning to have a road trip and bring the shower to her now not as many but at least my mother and my best GF who my kids call Aunt as I never had  a sister and we have been friends since 9th grade.

Enough of my :offonarant:

Bye for now.

There are a lot of b-days in August. Fools Month. :big grin:

We've been missing Marie and Heidi, they must be having one heck of a summer. :P

Marie hope the dental work is coming along, Jerry is going to be going through lots too. :holymoly: It sure isn't fun. and it's sure not reasonable.

Lee, I was wondering the same thing, What kind of job are you going to be doing? Sounds interesting.

We went to go see Dark Night tonight we got there 10 minutes before the movie started and the line was way out the door. We went to Shoprite instead. Most of the time you're lucky if there's 3-4 couples in the theater. The rain tonight I'm sure brought them in, just like it did us.

Going to get things ready for tomorrow now. bye

Good morning,

I'm Lucky to be able to get on this morning. Our electric went out about 10:15 or so last night and didn't come back on till 4:30 am. Jerry was just getting ready to turn on the generator for me.

I didn't sleep at all, I think in the back of my mind I was worried about lighting.

Can you believe yesterday morning my part time girl who was off yesterday had a tree in her yard hit by lighting, It didn't do anything to her house just blew the top of the tree off and blew out an electric fence she has around her garden.

So with hearing that yesterday, the electric out and lighting all night, I just couldn't sleep, not to mention worrying about getting the end of the year report due that's due to day and no sleep to actually work on it. All figures.

It's still raining, we need to rain bad just not the lighting.

Have a great Thursday

Good morning :big grin:

We got a little over 2 inches of rain yesterday, a good bit in the nice soaking in style. We needed that. Luckily for us there was no lightning and wind, just the rain. I did hear some distant thunder last night. It's not as humid today at least.

Lots of activity yesterday. I'll be interested to hear what Lee is doing and how Joe made out with his job. Good news, I hope. And of course, good news for SJ :praying:. Glad you are done with your cruise dilemma.

Just a little over a week and I can pay my cookie fee to see the tree and finally meet some of the great people I've been chatting with for so long :bouncy:.

GOOD MORNING....!!!

It is a gray overcast day here, showers are in the forecast.

Last night we got a HUGE dumping of rain too...!!!

Thomas has to go pump off the pool cover before the weight of the water damages the pully mechanism of the cover.

I was on the phone a few minutes ago with Billy's Doctor. I don't remember the exact name of it, but, Billy has a non cancerous tumor on his jaw. Which is the good news.

But, if it does not shrink in size in the next month, it WILL have to come out, because it could grow bigger and possibly become cancerous eventually.

So, probably, around September 1st, I will be posting that he will be having surgery. As long as it is not cancer and it can be removed, I am OK, my boy will be just fine....:smiley1:

Yup, it is...... ;)

I'm hoping Dennis is very slow next week so I can try to convince him to make a five hour drive on Saturday.  :praying:  I really want to meet Al, Lee & Joanne (are you coming Joanne?  I can't keep it straight).  I, of course, also want to see the rest of you again.

DG, yesterday I made an appointment for Thomas, Sara, my SIL and I to go to our Dentist on August 11th, at 11:00am.

I know, you are asking me, "SJ, WHY are you telling me this....????"

Well, you see our Dentist is in MARYLAND....!!!!

In Severn, Maryland.

I have been going to him for OVER 20 YEAR'S....!!! (when he was in Rye, New York)

We LOVE OUR DENTIST....!!!

But, he retired earlier this year to Maryland. He has a small office at his new house and is seeing patients there too.

We trust him, we like him AND his fees are EXTROADINARILY LOWER than what Dentists charge here in Mount Kisco.

So, if we can make the drive down to Maryland to see the DENTIST, I HOPE that you and Dennis can come up for the Party........

Good Morning everyone,

What a rainy night it was...and the wind and the rain haven't let up totally.  It helps to make the grass greener and my flowers bigger so once in a while I can handle it.

Judy you must have been so scared last night.  I can see where you will have that fear for a long time now.

SJ I wish that we were staying overnight at the hotel the day of your party, but, we have to get home to our hooligan dogs.  I am going to have Steven's friend John let them out while we are there.  Good that Billy's tumor isn't cancer.  Hopefully it will shrink and no surgery will be needed.  When I see him next week I will give him extra hugs and kisses for good luck.

I have to go back to work.  My payroll needs to get done and I just sent a "cheerful" nastygram to the guy in Manhattan that I met with the other day.  I wonder how it is going over in his office right now.  Enough is enough though he needs to pay his bill.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

OMG!  You are insane!!!

I hope you are not planning to do a round trip in one day.  You guys are more than welcome to stay here the night before or after.  Since both boys are living elsewhere I have three available bedrooms with their own bathrooms.  :smiley1:

Severn is less than half an hour from my house and only five minutes from my office.  I would love to see you one way or another when you come down.

As far as going up there it all depends on how busy Dennis is.  He works every weekend in the summer and it hasn't slowed down yet.  :(  I am a very nervous driver or I would just come by myself.  To me, driving on 95 is what flying is to Sharon.

Well, we are still thinking about that. Do we do an all in one day trip, or, should we stay overnight in a hotel....???

Oh DG, that would be TOO MUCH to put up me, Thomas, Sara and Theresa (Tom's Sister) for the night. FOUR PEOPLE....!!!

Think of all the sheets and towels you will have to wash......!!!

THANK YOU for your EXTREME Kindness though.....!!!
