My brother is in the Maintenance and Grounds Dept.  I can't be 100% positive but I think his title now will be Head of M & G.  He has been with them for over 25 years already.  He works hard and definately deserved the promotion.  He is very excited.

Congratulation's to your DB....!!!:smiley1: :cheering:

My little Brother Billy work's for the Town of Greenwich in the same department. He's been there almost 20 years and he enjoys it.

He gets QUITE A TAN in the Summer though, which may not be such a good thing. Because I don't think he puts on sun block at all.......:(

Well, the toilet and sink of course will be fine, just the shower won't.

Thomas got the cement board up, but cleaning up the backs of like 130 pieces if tile is taking MUCH, MUCH, MUCH LONGER then Thomas thought/expected.

After trial and error, he has found that scraping the old cement off by hand works the best. Which, as you can imagine, is EXTROADINARILY TIME CONSUMING.....!!!

Because, Thomas is trying to be VERY, VERY, VERY CAREFULL to NOT chip or scrap any of the tile. Because we DON'T have any backup tile......

So far, after two days, he has 25 tiles done. So, it is going to take awhile......;)

Especially, when, like today he is up at the Trolley Museum, and tomorrow he will be going to the Plaza. Next week too, he will be up at the Trolley Museum one day and the Plaza another.

SOMETIME in August it should be completed.......:smiley1:

As long as the toilet and sink are working, you are GOLDEN!  Don't stress.  We are not staying overnight, so no need for showers. :big grin:

We are soooo looking forward to seeing you.  My girls too.

Btw, did you decide to leave the tree up? ;)

The Doctor took a biopsy and we should know in a few days. I am hoping that it will be just a cyst or something not serious...... I am TRYING not to stress myself over all the "what if's".........

I hope it turns out OK.  Let us know.

Thank you for asking.

No news yet, maybe tomorrow or Friday.

Let's all think "positive"......

Either way, if the vouchers went through, we WILL have a GREAT TIME in Bermuda, if the vouchers did NOT go through, we WILL have MORE MONEY to put towards heating our house this Winter.....!!! ;)

Let us know what happens.  If you do go, you may run into my parents on the island. :big grin:

When I spoke with her last week she was. In fact she leaves for her East Coast Adventure tomorrow, so, I think I will give her a call later, when I get back from the grocery store.

Charles is doing OK too, from what Laurel says. I haven't spoken with him in awhile.

I may be little and short NOW.  But I was a 8 lbs 10 oz baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My poor Mom was 85 lbs when she got married and not much more when she was pregnant with me.  I've seen pictures and she looked like a toothpick with an olive in the middle of it. :shoot me:

We are doing a Tauck tour and it's the hotel they use.  I would have been there for a few days anyway - we are getting there a day early in case our flights go bad.  It will also give us a chance to aclimate to the heat and time change.

I know that it's very hot there but it's more comfortable than here due to the lack of humidity.  It might be about 120 degrees when we get down to Luxor.

DG, I am SO GLAD that ALL your travel plans have worked out.....:smiley1:

It sounds like a "Trip of a Lifetime"......!!!

Becky, no matter how you slice it or dice it, 120 Degrees is HOT!!!:shocked::shocked:

A snickerdoodle would do for me....oh shoot wait, it's SJ's tree.  I can't charge admission.  But, can I have one (or a dozen) anyway???

I can't wait to see everyone at SJ's.  I have never met Al and Teresa or Lee and Joe (and the kiddies).

Ok, gotta go.  You were all quite busy this afternoon while I was slaving over this darn computer!!!!  SJ I am praying for your dog.  I hope it works out good.

Boy how chatty everyone is today! :big grin:

I'm working so I read through rather quickly.  I hope I caught all the high points.

Congrats to Kathy & Lee!

I'm glad the tree is staying up.  I want to see pictures. :big grin:

I'm hoping Dennis is very slow next week so I can try to convince him to make a five hour drive on Saturday.  :praying:  I really want to meet Al, Lee & Joanne (are you coming Joanne?  I can't keep it straight).  I, of course, also want to see the rest of you again.

Isn't it Charlie's birthday that day?  Or is it Toms?

WOW, a busy day!! Quick hello to everyone.

I have decided I need an extra day in every week to get things done:big grin: :P

Congrats to Kathy and Lee, both opportunities sound great!!! A little extra cash and unlimited vacation time sounds good to me!

I hope to check in later.

Bye for now.:outtahere:

I was just on the phone with Charles, Laurel was out doing some last minute errands before she leaves tomorrow.

He sounds good, just like Charles, telling his "one liners"......

He will be spending the next few weeks with his Mom and Sydney. I think he is looking forward to the change too......

He says he wishes he could see us all again, but, his travelin' days are over.....

Which is sad, life has dealt him a tough one, but, amazingly, he STILL has his sense of humor.......:smiley1:

You know, sometimes you just NEVER KNOW how things will work out.... I was all set this afternoon at 2:45pm to call my TA and cancel the Dream cruise, when the phone rang, it was Thomas (Mr. Trolley Man ).

He said he "had been thinking about the Dream cruise", he WANTED TO GO.....!!!

He said he wanted to go one more time on an older smaller ship, and back down to Bermuda.

So, we ARE....!!!

I feel VERY RELIEVED, that stress is over with. Thomas made the decision for me.

So, we are BERMUDA BOUND.....!!!

But, I have a NEW worry now. While Sara and I were out shopping, the Vet called with Billy's test results. But, when I called back, the Doctor had left already.

Now I have an entire night to worry......:(
