Wow,  they will be our neighbors.  We also have an aft mini.   Was told that was the place to be in a mini for Alaska.  Look forward to meeting them.

Nancy

I guess we must be getting all the Aft Mini's in our group, we have two ourselves. Last year we had an AE Aft room and this location is the best.

We signed up  3 more this week, my Sister-In-Law & two sons.

Sandy, is this your Brother and his wife's first cruise to Alaska or have they done this before like you?
Jeff

Hi, Jeff!  This will be the 4th cruise to Alaska for my brother and his wife.  They went twice with Princess but last year decided to give NCL a try and cruised with us on the Star.

They had a great time and were really impressed with NCL!  We were booked in an AE and Alex (our concierge) also gave them the VIP treatment even though they were in an obstructed view cabin.    -Sandy-

BAOKIECruiser - Did you finally get banned over there? I see that you have not posted since the 15th.
My posts have been removed which alluded to the Great One, but I have not yet been banned either.
Good Luck.
You will love the Alaska Cruise! We did it in 2005, and can't wait to return with NCL again.

This Okie hasn't been banned from the dark side yet.  I posted again a few days ago asking where shoreguy was but I guess I haven't been noticed yet or they are just letting some of us off the hook.  I just wanted to be in the "banned" club with the rest of you.  I was on the Pearl this year with AD Peterson and Cruisin' Nana and would love to go back with them next year but my SIL wants to try July next year so we are booked for July 20 in an AF aft mini.  Jeff says we'll love the view from back there even more so than from our AF port this year.  Can't wait!!!!

Don't you know, you are just too sweet of a person to get yourself banned. :lmao1:

It is finally raining here in Nashville. It has been hot, hot & dry. My swimming pool is like a big hot tub. I am so ready for a nice cool Glacier Bay day.

Take Care,

Jeff

We got some good rain today (too much in Kingfisher County....you may have seen that on the news) and some relief from the heat.

Now I'm feeling sad.  :moping:  We're actually starting to look at the possibiity of doing a return trip on the Pearl next May too -- but we'd have to go the week before you guys, do to work constraints.

Now I'm feeling sad. We would love for you to come on this sailing. I think you went the week before us this year.

Pat, Cruisin' Nana, is going a couple weeks before us next year. If you can't make this week , then you might want to check into that one. Pat & Leon are the best, even though they root for them stinking Longhorns.:lmao1:

Darn work schedules get in the way of traveling all the time.  Dh is responsible for their payroll processing, so we have to work around his bi-weekly schedule to transmit payroll.  Kids are now 24 & 21 and both working and going to school, so that adds to the problem.  I think both of them have decided thought that they don't want to attend summer semester next year, which is why they weren't with us last time.  My company has just been sold, so I don't know if I'm going to have a job by then, but I'm starting to think I'm going to just ignore that complication.

I think we did sail the week before you last year.  If it all comes together, we'll try and leave her in good condition again this time.  I will admit, coming home on Sunday and having Monday off for Memorial Day was a really nice bonus last time.  Gave us a day to catch up and get laundry done.

I was just thinking the same thing.  We are booked on the Pearl for the following week, June 1st, but it looks like all the fun will be the week of the 25th.  On our last cruise to Alaska, I never could get a CC roll call put together.  Huge list of CC's for the week before and the week after, but never anyone for our week, oh well.

It is kind of funny how some roll calls take off and others don't. We were lucky last year to have a good roll call.  Hey, you might be going the week after us, but you can still join in our fun. After all, we will be passing each other on June 1st.

Oh, what I would give to have you two ladies sitting next to each other on Oct. 6th.

I love Pat :flowers:, but I don't think she will handle losing to Oklahoma as well as she did in our bowling tourny. :fan:

:bouncy: :martini:

Thank you for the invite.  I think I will hang out with y'all and hopefully still get a roll call going for our week.  I'll be anxious to read about what everyone has planned for excursions, etc.

Great, hopefully we can get your roll call going as well. We might have to just change the roll call to include 4 cruises. Cruisin' Nana is going in early May and BAOkie is going in July. Ute Fan might be going the week before us.

So far on this cruise we have:

Brunolvr, DonaldsMom, NanyFancy40 & ADPeterson.

I'm more concerned about you, Jeff.  You are normally such a sweet, mild-mannered guy, but when OU loses, I'm afraid of what you may turn into!!:loser::offonarant:

Besides, how do you know that I simply didn't want to show off during the bowling tourny?  Remember, I used to have my own bowling ball, and, oh, did I fail to mention that I have a 1st place trophy from the league I was playing in?:numberone:

O.K., I'll admit it - I'm a lousy bowler!!!  It was a fluke that our team won 1st place. Sadly, we won because my handicap was set so high in the beginning that as I slowly improved during the league season, it helped us to take first place.:dangit:

HOOK EM HORNS!!!  (Can you tell I love the emoticons?!)

Has Suzanne been sharing stories about me...you seem to have me figured out. :angeldevil1:

I think it is why the Dear Lord allows my Sooners to win so often. It is better than sending me to confession all the time.:big grin:

Thanks, Pat.  For anyone who wonders what glacier calving looks like on an Alaskan cruise, here is a link to a good one.

Suzanne (wife) is still very  on why she can't log into CC with my account.:lmao1:

I can't seem to figure out how to tell her I acted like a two year old again. Anyway, when she finally finds CTT, I am sure she will set the record straight.  She is the nice one in the family.  I just reap the rewards of walking in her shadow.
