I was looking at  http://www.kayak.com/

The 6:30 am with 1:40 and 11:20 arrival times are now showing up on the 18th. If you don't get on that flight you are SOL.

Sooo...basically what we are looking at is 2 shots to get there ontime.  I am purchasing insurance for sure.

Realy one - if you don't get on the 6;30 am flight from Buffalo you don't make either of the possible connections in Atlanta

Two if you count our existing flight at 3:00 on the 17th.  We have flown out of here in January many times and by some wierd stroke of luck our flights have never been delayed or cancelled then.   However, we once had a flight cancelled for snow in APRIL.

What we usually do is monitor the weather really carefully and if it looks like there is any chance of a problem we call the airline and ask if we can fly standby on an earlier flight.  Some airlines say yes, some say NO WAY.  Anyone know what Delta will say?

What is done is done but I have a question. After all the advice here why did you book into PBI ? You could have flown into FLL for a few dollars more. Stayed at a hotel with free transfers from the airport and to the pier and even had free breakfast. At the same time removing a lot of stress from you travel.

The only reason was the $156 flights.  Other flights we were looking at were $200 to $230.    SIL wanted us to fly out of ROC and those flights were not working because of the times they were arriving.

Also, my DH is a ridiculous gambler and he was convinced that we could get cheaper flights if we waited.  I was not at all convinced and I wanted to get these locked in.

I still might change these flights.  I am calling cheaptickets right now to see what would happen if we change them.  I don't mind spending a little more.

Don't forget the 2 hours of free drinks at the hotel, too.:big grin:
