| During the week, how long should I allow to get from the Civ. dock to the Rome airport in the morning?

A very long time  - How are you planning to travel.
Here is the parking lot we sat in for over an hour on the way to Rome on a Tues.

I would look for others to naswer that question. All I can share is it took about 1:40 to return to the ship from downtown Rome and almost 3 hours to get there that morning. You need to be at the airport by 9 am I would plan on leaving at 6am if posible. I am not sure where the airport is in relationship to downtown Rome but I know it is 16 miles sw..

The traffic in Rome is really dreadful. Plan on a couple hours, maybe? The more time you allow, the better.

Oh Mama Mia........
... bus takes about 1.5 hours from downtown to port. But from port to airport (assuming it is Fiumicino).... they way they drive and the traffic??? I'd say a good hour.
 And then you probably have to get out at airport then take the train to the inner terminal???? And (assuming it's international flight) you would need to be there 3hrs in advance??
If your flight leaves at 11... can you get off ship to be there prior to the gate required time? We didn't find Italian customs... too strict (hilarious in fact), so your air carrier may not be either at that end.
