I booked first and asked second too!  (Also figured you have nothing to lose, so why not?)

DH is on board, although a bit bummed at having to drive the 8 hours round trip to NYC...rather than the 2 hours round trip to Boston (but once he realized that I was talking about $650 for both of us, taxes included, he got over the NYC part!).

But we're looking forward to the Dawn as we've never sailed on her!

This is going to be fun!

What part of MA are you in?   We are in the small town of Grafton, just outside of Worcester.

Possible problem......

Just checked my reservation on line and the amounts were changed......

Total Price:
$1,843.78

Cruise
$1,598.00

Government Taxes and Fees
$245.78

I'm on the phone with my PCC who told me my price would be protected even if it was a computer mistake with the price.  He had confirmed earlier that my price would be honored so he is trying to get it verified now.

I'm not sure if this makes sense or not but my PCC tells me my price has been protected but it won't show up on my screen correctly and everything has to be handled through him, so no on-line payments.   Earlier today I was able to go in and view the reservation with the correct price.

Also found out that there are G category cabins still available, at least on his screen.

I sure hope the honor this price for you all.

I went out and they still show $249 on the first screen. The next screen has opened up G Category but it now shows $849.

Well, this is stinky (not exactly how I would usually phrase it but I don't know you all well enough).

My total is now reading $2021.78--I have insurance on mine so that probably explains the difference!

Please keep us posted

It seems like as long as we have the confirmation email with the correct prices we should be fine.  Just don't try to make any alterations to the booking, he said anything like making a payment on-line could upset the system......so when final payment time comes I need to do it all through him.   I forgot to ask him what using my BOA rewards certificates might do to the reservation....

Are they changing your online Invoice?  I didn't go thru my PCC and booked direct on line so I don't have anyone to fight for me!!!

I wish they would change my online invoice....then I would feel more comfortable.  I will always see the full price he said, which doesn't make sense to me other than him confirming that I have the correct price listed on his screen at the office, and that I do have the email.

I guess I have to trust my PCC, he has been very good for the last couple of years and has always chcecked and verified everything he tells me.

WTG, Jinxy!  Whatever you're calling yourself we're happy to have you aboard!

When this is straightened out, I'm so making up a pitcher of rum swizzle to commemorate our voyage!

I'm not a sports fan, just assuming the cougars are a sports team, but wondered if that red on the bottom right of the avatar is supposed to look like a fish or is it my imagination???

If you look closely, the right bottom third is comprised of the letters "WSU" and is supposedly in the form of a cougar head.

W-back of head

S-eye area & upper jaw

U-lower jaw

You beat me to it!  (I used to live in Washington many moons ago, so I'm the tiniest bit hip...even had a Huck the Fuskies painter's hat!)

I don't even know who the Husky's are.........or if we are talking football, baseball  or some other sport.

I have a friend who's son pitched for the Pirates last year, who's pitching in Japan this year........so I know a little bit about baseball.

I figure you guys are all following this on the other thread but in case you missed this part I thought I'd copy over here what Stephanie told me.

immargaret wrote: goodml wrote: Stephanie just came back and said "we're tryng to figure out what has happened here.  Something's not right.  You might be on hold awhile."

I think that's why my PCC was so concerned that if I made an online payment or adjusted at all my reservation would automatically update to the higher price......when you made your deposit it automatically updated.   There was special he has to do to stop it from updating...

No actually mine was changed before I made the deposit.  I didn't do the deposit online.  When I read here that people's rates had changed I pulled up my reservation and the price was already different.  When I called and spoke to Jason he did the deposit for me and said that it showed as $801 and there would be no problem with doing the deposit.  He said my balance was $301.xx after the deposit.

So Stephanie has just come back and told me that this was a glitch in the system and her supervisor said $84 per person is way too cheap for a 7 night cruise.  I said I understood but that it was actually $249 (which is still low but not $84 not sure where that's coming from.)  She said that they appreciate my patience but that her supervisor said they would have to speak to the revenue department tomorrow to see if there's any way that they can honour the price.  She told me to call back tomorrow and ask them to check the notes on the file.  She was very nice but she didn't seem convinced that they'd honour it.

We'll send some positive thoughts your way, and wish for the best.   I have heard of this going both ways in the past......from the CC boards.

If they think $84 is too cheap then why are they letting 3 of us get the fare for under $50 each.......
