You must be leaving for your TA on the QE2 soon?

I consider 2 weeks about the minimum on a cruise and much prefer a month....

REal Estate is definitely slowing down here.  My phone hasn't bothered me once all day.  I got the wash done and 5 banana loafs made....

Will take 1 to the pool with me tomorrow morning for the after exercise coffee time.

Going to put a roast of beef in the oven soon for supper.

Dear Mike

I may be a little dense or maybe I was away and missed your upset with CC but what is going on???  Why the boycott of the CC Meet & Greet....

Who said something to upset you????

I thought all the confrontational cc roll call memebers had jumped ship!!!

I was looking forward to meeting you and talking about your "neck of the woods" as I have wonderful memories of childhood summers spent at the Dunes Club in RI...

Hey Ann

You're confusing me with the other Mike who is not a member here....BUT..I do know what happened...while you were gone Elbon invaded our roll call and Mike asked her to please leave since she is not on our cruise.....I chimed in (what else is new LMAO) and agreed with Mike....Long story short, a bunch of posts were poofed, I was put on a 30 day time out ( I am now Xcruzer I think:devil: on CC) and our roll call was locked for about 3 days and I'm sure Mike got the same time out cause he has just come back as well and he obviously is very pissed he was given a time out for simply asking someone to follow CC guidelines.

I was actually surprised I wasn't banned and only given a time out cause CC and I don't see eye to eye and I usually get banned every couple of months or so hence my coming back to the roll call with a new name ever now and then AND my not being too sure what my current name is on there....BUT  you will find me as I posted "I'm baaaack" a couple of days ago....I'm sure Mike still reads the roll call and all we need to do is post our sail away plan a few more times and he will proly show up....

As with many ex CC'ers he should prolly come here and hang out...Most of us here only use CC for our roll calls cause they are much larger than ours and also to read their threads for our our amusement...

You can kind of see what happened if you go back a couple of pages on the roll call, some of Mikes posts are still there but ALL of mine were poofed! You just kinda have to read between the lines to see what happened...

Yes, there were 2 Mike's on that roll-call thread.........."Mike" was the other Mike, not our Mike Dawson.  He got put on a time-out, as did our own Mike, because of ellbon.  Evidently, the other Mike is pissed off because of that (as would I).

It's true that a whole lot of CTT members used to be regular members over on CC before they got fed up with their high-handed censorship over there.  A few of their Mods are nice but  some Mods show their favoritism to some of their "pets" and let them get away with things other members cannot. There's way too many rigid rules over there for my taste.  You can't have cool avatars, you can't really post an honest opinion or review, because the cheerleaders will come and harange and harrass you and push the triangle and run tattle-ling back to the Mods.  I hate tattle-tales.  :flamin:
I feel that CC treats their members like children and not adults. No thanks!
That's why I love it over here so much. People can (for the most part) say what they think.  One of our few rules is not to bash/harrass other CTT members.

Thanks for the info.  I figured it had something to do with Elbon as he/she was always onto someone in a very negative way including me at times... I just tended to ignore Elbon and did not have a problem when Elbon announced that he had jumped ship to a different sailing.....

Also yes I was away during the lockdown time..

Again when the Mod's censor my reports I just let it all go....I figure life is too short to get up tight about little stuff... and that is why I am always happy to e-mail my reviews direct to anyone interested in any of my trips...

Again Don't let a couple of small minded people ruin your day or stop you from meeting and enjoying the company of the rest of us who are not small minded...

I have made some good friends from folks I have originally met on CC....

your exactly right Ann....All of the originators of this board met on CC and many of us met there years ago and have gone thru a "few" cruising boards before landing here... (though I am still pissed everyone forgot to invite me here till this board was 3 months old and I missed the "charter member" title :P

I think we should post invites to the sailaway party every week or so and Mike will prolly see it...even if he is pised Im sure his curiosity will cause him to still lurk on the roll call....he also may not understand that the meet and greet isn't actually sponsored by CC anyway.....:sucks:

Just spent a day doing paper work UGH.

However as they say "the job is not done till the paperwork is finished!"

Got our Fall mail out to our clients all stuffed, glued, stamped & mailed.....

Also got follow up e-mails off to all the REaltors who attended conference in Ottawa with us...

Two big jobs that had been on our "To Do" list for too long.  We started working on both jobs last week but finally got htem all finished today......

Talked to my DH tonight about some of the great sell off deals on cruises right now to see if I can't get him out to sea sooner than January.  He says can't (translates to won't) take the time off work!

Of course I am also busy with work so it would not necessarily be good for me to leave either but for a cruise .... they can call me on my cell and I can bring the laptop...

Did I tell you all that we both volunteer for the "Haunted Halloween Train" which runs from Oct 17 - 31 every night from 6:30pm - 10pm...  My DH does all the electrical and then at night is the jack of all trades doing whatever needs to be done.  While I cook all the dinners (dinner is everynight at 5:15 for all the witches, goblins, spiders, etc that populate the back lot of the train ride.  Then after I finish feeding everyone I become the Wicked Witch of the Platform and my job is to load and unload the train and try to keep some order.  It is fun to see all the costumes that people dress up in and most are happy.

The slice of pie is ready and waiting for you with your name on it....

I always bake an extra pumpkin pie for my Daughter's Mother-in-law...she loves pumpkin pie but no one else in her family likes it so thus she never bakes it...Now every Thanksgiving when I bake my pumpkin pie I make an extra small one special for her (Tatajana) and send it over to her.  This year she really enjoyed it as she is not able to do anything as she just had a knee replaced so no cooking baking cleaning (now skipping the cleaning is OK) shopping etc....  Thus having the fresh pie was a nice treat for her....  Her DH's idea of cooking is a run to either McDonalds or Wendys.....

Mike have a great cruise if I don't talk to you before hand...

The TA cruise aboard the Grand Princess has just gone on sale for $2000. inc airfare from Vancouver so I am trying to talk my DH into it but he says he can't take time off work for that in November and also in January for the Solstice....  He has now worked for a full month without a day off and is very tired.  He desperately needs a break so I am pushing...If he doesn't want to take 22 days I will go to a shorter Mexican Rivera cruise.....

We leave in 2 days!!!!   Last trans-atlantic crossing on the QE 2, before she retires in Dubai as a floating hotel........:(     Then 4 days in London, before flying back home.

How was Hawaii?

On this cruise aboard the Solstice there are only the 3 of us.  My DH & I plus my DAd.

Usually I have a much bigger group.....but as this was not a super dupper cheap special (like I usually find) most of my group were not interested...they also prefer a smaller ship and I like the bigger newer ones.....

Am currently awaiting group pricing from my TA for a spring cruise to Alaska for a group neighbourhood cruise.  The neighbours have asked me to put together a good deal for us all to go so am working on it....

Hate to say goodbye to you all but my DH came home from work mad at his boss and told me to go ahead and book the 2 (note two) LONG cruises I had been "nattering "about .... so I did:angeldevil1:...

So we are now on the Pacific Princess for a 28 day cruise up the Amazon River and then back to Fort Lauderdale leaving on Jan 2nd... then in 2010 we are going to try our very first GRAND VOYAGE to the Mediterraine and Black Sea return out of Fort Lauderdale......

I am really sorry to miss out on the Solstice and meeting all of you but 7 days vs 28 days :big grin: well you all know the answer to that one!

I was reallly looking forward to meeting you all and the roll call for the Amazon River cruise is really dead...Although this cruise roll call has gotten really quiet!

I look forward to reading your revies of the wonderful new ship and will miss being with you to check it all out in person.

I too was looking forward to meeting you all and to boarding the Solstice however we find 7 days just too short so opted for hte 28 day cruise to somewhere new....

As you live in St Augustine maybe we could meet up after our cruise as we are staying on in Titusville, Florida at Dad's for an extra 17 days... you can always e-mail me at ann at century 21 vancouver dot com...
