Oops!!!!!!!!!      Scratch that.........that's the deck on my Mariner cruise.

You were right the first time, and the name of the deck is (surprisingly enough), Deck Seven.

Dear Catnip

Only wish I had the problem of too many cruises planned/booked!  My DH has said no big holiday in 2009 just a few short ones...But I can plan a big one for 2010 - Oh Goody - now will that be a world cruise or something on the Grand Voyage style but about a month shorter than a full World....As he did not define Big I will go with my definition.

Consequently we will do the Solstice in January and then I will look at a relocation to or from Vancouver for later in the year.  Or maybe just another Alaskan cheapy....

Are there any other "Door Decorators" in this gang?

I'm not sure about the door decorators!  Maybe we could come up with a "CTT" related decoration!
Can you put anything (within reason) on your door?

Yes you can have lots of fun with decorations.  I usually go for a Canadian theme.... and put up some flags, etc. and usually soemthing that makes noise and or light.  the doors are metal so magnets hold everything in place very nicely without doing any damage and make the decorations easy to remove.  Also easy to borrow!

Dear Catnip

How are you surviving the hurricane?  Any damage or problems with the rain???  Hear it is stalled just off the coast at Cape Kennedy which is where Dad's place is....

Hope all is well.

Our final payment is due Nov 2nd.

My DH has broken down and said I can book a 3 night cruise for my 60th Birthday Vancouver to Victoria & Seattle.  I am thinking save the money and book a longer repositioning cruise in spring 2009.  Big part of that is my Daughter will be on her 7 night Alaskan cruise over that weekend and as we are partners at work I really can't leave that weekend.

Now if he had said go for the 7 night cruise I would say the H... with work and have it booked in a flash!

Dear Catnip

Thanks for the invite but think it will be a Mexico and then repositioning back to Vancouver at the end in the spring.  Have not done Mexico in over 25 years so probably about time....

Nice to see we have a Sky Suite to visit.....

REally busy with work have 3 Buyers that all want something this week right when I am trying to get ready to leave for Montreal....  Never enough time to do all I want to do.  I definitely want a nice long "Grand Voyage" cruise in 2010 as my DH says no to 2009....

Ann, you should think about joining all of us on the Mariner of the Seas May 3 from LA to Mexico.  It gets back to LA on the 10th, and Radiance of the Seas leaves San Diego on the 11th to head to Vancouver.

Thanks for the invite.

Plan to wait and see what DEALS are available as last minute cruises in the spring...that way I can ajust my timing to my work schedule....

Watching the airfare for Florida and it has gone down to $250. CA return out of SEA.  Now if I could just get my dates set I could book it.  Where are all those folks who said airfare was a deal breaker for our cruise.  Just have to wait as the price only starts to drop normally about now for January.

We leave tonight for Seattle to catch the flight to Burlington Vt for our 2 weeks with family in Quebec.  I will actually run off to Ottawa for 4 days to join my Daughter who will fly direct to Ottawa and we will attend a conference together.  We call it our annual Mother Daughter weekend away - no husbands or kids allowed!

We look forward to our annual conference every year as not only do we make money from it we have a wonderful time meeting up with old friends and there are lots of hugs of friendship all around....

It has become a tradition that someone organize a boat cruise for Sunday evening after the conference finishes for a last final farewell party ...  This is always one of the highlights!:martini:

The conference actually will be held in Vancouver in 2009 - 1st time in Vancouver in over 20 years and Julia & I already have the boat cruise for that conference all arranged - booked - tickets priced etc.

I sort of packed our suitcase last night.  We have only 1 for both Ross & I as we are on cheap seats so will have to pay a fee for our suitcase.  Will find out how that works.

Talk to you all in 2 weeks

Ann

Where is everyone????

I am now home from my 2 week family visit.  Had an unscheduled stop over in Chiago due to Ike.  So got home Monday evening instead of Sunday night.

Ottawa was great but the shopping was poor came home with nothing new:shock:..

The 50th Surprise Anniversary Party I threw for my Aunt & Uncle the last day of our visit was a great success.  Over a 100 people joined us for dinner and dancing and fun was had by all.  Plus the guests of honor were surprised as they did not have a clue that the party was on....

Well now I am home and will get busy looking at shore excursions and fun things to do on this cruise.  Although for me the ship is the main attraction....

Honestly I haven't seen any good shopping. I'm holding off til I get to Florida in Nov. Ottawa would be a great spot for a M&D weekend. I keep meaning to get up there for the Winter Carnival. They're calling for a bad winter, so maybe this would be a good year.

Where in Ontario do you call home?

My Daughter & I had a great time in Ottawa - but then we always have a "BLAST" on our annual Mother - Daughter weekend away... No DH or Kids allowed......
We party - we shop - we dine - we sightsee - we hook up with old friends and make new friends -

I know - only trouble it is only a 7 day cruise.  Now I wish I had booked the B2B even with the identical (well almost) ports....

Only 102 days - but who's counting

My favorite is to just move onto the ship & never get off....

I keep telling my kids "Forget the old age home" - just put me n a cruise ship and you don't have to come visit me on Sundays:big grin:

Did you see te deal that "Legendary Journeys" is offering - the repositioning cruise on RCCL's Mariner of the Seas from Pt Carnarveral to LA all around South America - 47 days starting at $2200.   Sure is tempting but we have done all the ports except for 2 .... and my DH won't take 2 months off.... I am doing well I have him up the the whole month of January in Fl....

Wow.  That sounds too good to be true!!!!!!  What a great deal!

But, we could never get that much time off now with all the construction going on here at the house.  Even when all that's over, I don't think I would want to go on any kind of trip longer than 2 weeks.
