Denise, are you leaving on a cruise this week? Which ship?

Leaving this Friday..........10-day Panama Canal cruise on Brilliance of the Seas.

I hear this is the last Caribbean cruise for her..........after we deaprt, she will sail to Europe and will only do European cruises.  Bummer.

Enjoy that cruise. Sounds very nice. I am booked on the Brilliance for next June out of Barcelona for twelve nights. Can't wait. Will be interested in your comments on the Brilliance. Those Radiance class ships are some of the best looking ships sailing today IMHO.

Is this the cruise you had scheduled for last summer but had to cancel?  We did the 7-nt Med on Splendour in Oct and really enjoyed it-----you will have a blast!

This will be my 5th time (I think) on Brilliance. I love this ship. I agree with you that the Radiance class ships are just lovely. I love all that floor-to-ceiling glass windows and the open, airy feel of the public rooms.  The layout is easy to find your way around.....even my 76-yr old mother doesn't get lost on Brilliance!!!

The one that we canceled was the seven night on the Brilliance. I felt that it was too port intensive for a seven night cruise. The 12 night has three sea days built it and will give some time to sleep in and rest up.

I agree... you gotta have some sea days, or you'll be exhausted at the end of the cruise! :sleepy:

I just read on CC that Carnival is raising the surcharge to $7.00 a day and now will charge $2.00 per day for third and fourth in a cabin. Effective with cruises booked on or after 4/21.

They do have a little "clause":shoot me:

our cruise went down about 1000 with a resident rate, so even though we booked well before the deadline when I repriced it they added on the fuel charge, at the higher rate too- but still we came out way ahead-
