Has anyone used the CCL laundry services? I know somewhere on CC there was a price list floating around but I can't seem to find it.

And does anyone know if they still offer the bag you can stuff full for one price?

Those prices are pretty comparable to my local dry cleaner. The only thing I would not send out to wash is the "unmentionables":P

LOL, i was going to mention something about the socks.  i remember last cruise i glanced at the price list and was shocked at the price they wanted to charge to wash a single pair of socks.  you can do an entire load for less.  i do believe someone recently stated elsewhere that they did have the $15 offer recently.  only once did i do laundry on a cruise, and it was my last cruise (in feb) b/c it was necessary (long story, LOL).  i guess i missed the $15 deal.  wish i hadn't b/c trying to get a washer and dryer proved to be very difficult.   and, of course, there was the woman who broke 3 machines on our deck by shoving nickles into them...:shoot me:

To actually make a comment on topic...:P

I asked a while back on CC about this, and I've been told the 8-day Liberty actually does 2 laundry specials, which would help with packing tremendously.  Can anyone here confirm that for me yet again?

On the 8 day Miracle cruise we just got off they had the $15 bag special on every port day plus one of the sea days. I thought they did a great job and everthing was folded neatly when we got it back. There's a bag in the desk drawer and you'll receive the form (included in the Capers the night before) to fill out and put with the bag. You have to have it on your bed ready to go by 10:30 a.m. and you're supposed to get it back by 7 p.m. Each time we didn't get it back until the next day. But, hey, I wasn't complaining since the service is free for platinum guests:P

How did you like the Miracle? We sailed on that ship in 2006, I think, and really loved it! DH wouldn't take advantage of the laundry service. I think he likes to see me buried under all that dirty laundry when we get home. Maybe he thinks I'll pack less the next time. Wrong!  :big grin:

I have used laundry services on board (pun), and it is more costlier than the coin laundry onboard (pun), but to rent a car????? Hmm cost of rental, taxes, state taxes, extra insurance, gas???????? Someone suggested she hump the garbage bags from the ship to the laundromat...... hahahahaahahah that'll be about 3-5 blocks!!!!!!!!!!!

saw this was moved to the top, so i thought i'd give an update.  i looked for the $15 laundry sale my last cruise (dec '07) and used it.  it was great.

i had read in a previous post by aggieastrosfan on CC that CCL does not care how much you stuff that bag.

meredith suggested rolling your jeans as small as possible...what a FANTASTIC tip (thanks, mere).  i got so much shoved into that bag.  it was awesome.:big grin:
