OK, I whined about this on the "other" site, but just in case no one caught it, are these beds and bedding on the Destiny? I know it was refurbed in '05, but it made no mention of it, and the virtual tour pics still have the ugly old coverlets. . .

| Nevermind-it just looks as though they have outdated pics on their virtual tours. . .

The Carnival Comfort Bed is one of the things that ~definitely~ goes in the "Plus" column of my review of the Victory! I'm the person on which the story "The Princess and the Pea" was based; I can NEVER get a good night's sleep away from home. (I LOVE my Tempur-Pedic!) However, my bed on the Victory was oooooh! so comfy! I even had to find a way to tuck in for a nap most days.

| Those beds are to die for! Absolutely loved them on the Liberty. The bed at home doesn't even compare, unfortunately.

Am I the only one that begs to differ? If this is their "comfort bed" I'd sure hate to see what the hell they had before. The bed itself was hard, the 2 pillows sucked and then there was a really heavy (i.e. too flippin hot) down comforter on top of it all.... that was it. I've had MUCH nicer beds at Westin, DoubleTree, etc.

I'll agree with you there. I thought it was me having a personal summer every night or the effects of having a sunburn. Our bed was comfy, but yes the comforter was too hot and the pillows too soft. Our bed here at home is one of those memory foam beds. Nice when you first start out but not nearly as comfortable as I'd like. I "think" we could have asked for firmer pillows, but we just made do with what we had.

I'll beg to differ with you. Bed and pillows were hard/unsupportive. And, hello, that heavy, hot comforter hit the floor as soon as I hit the bed. The bed (as bad as it was) did outshine the beds on Spirit in 2003 so that's a good thing. BUT the bed and beddings on Glory in 2003 were what I think the CCL Comfort Bed system is all about--I still remember the splendid slumber from that cruise and I believe that's when CCL started paying attention to bed/beddings. I really thought that's the comfort I would experience on Liberty in 2007 but alas it was not.
Guess I'll bring heavier sleep drugs on my next cruise--just in case the beds/pillows don't soften up.

Now I really thought my bed was comfortable....and since I don't have personal summers... ...I made good use of my comforter. Now, with that said...I didn't find Shelly's bed as comfortable as mine....

Probably a wise move at the moment.

It beats falling asleep at your desk waking up with "keyboard face".
Now when it gets really bad it's best to sleep on the floor. This way you only have to worry about kinetic energy from rolling around. There's no potential at the floor! Of course if there's a TV overhead it's gotta be secure or placed on the floor.
I cannot believe how many quarters I've seen with DUMMIES that have a 19" CRT television just SITTING on a shelf! They will learn one day when the F&^$ thing falls down and hits them in their GD kisser.
I often wondered what a waterbed would be like at sea. Damn scary if it busted that's for sure!

Soooo, do you prefer the left side of the keyboard or the right? Or does face down work better?
